Moving

Subject: Moving Sat Jul 21, 2007 2:14 pm

My husband got a contract this week for a job in Virginia. He has to be there Aug. 7th. The kids and I will remain here until we sell the house, so hopefully it will sell quickly. He is really happy about the job. The rest of us aren't so excited about moving, but I'm sure we will eventually grow to love our new location. I just hate to think about packing. bawling

I hope that your house sells quickly, and that the move is as easy as possible for you. Virginia is so incredibly beautiful. Change is never easy.......but at least you have gorgeous scenery ahead of you. Cool

Congrats on your husband's new job, but I'm sorry that the move isn't quite so exciting. I hate packing too, but I hope that it goes by much better than you expected. And good luck selling the house, I hope it sells quickly. Keep us posted! :)

The realtor is coming tomorrow to show the house to the rest of the realtors in her office. From now on we'll have to try and keep the house clean in case they need to show it to someone.

Oh Lori... I remember those days.... I hope the house sells soon.
It takes work trying to keep the house clean and when we got a call from the realtor it was funny seeing my family run around the house like crazy people cleaning it all up and making it nice lol....
Then we would leave the house and wait... realtor guy said no good news...
One time he called and said he was coming over in 5 minutes... people needed to leave town so they could not wait longer... the house was not so clean... there were dishes in the sink but we did the best we could... well ... turns out we had an offer made that time LOL

We thought it was funny that the one time the house was a mess was the time it got an offer... and all the other times that it had been spotless w/ soft music playing in the background... nothing had happened lol.... you just never know with these things... grinsmiley

That's one of the parts about moving I'm not looking forward to, Carol. We're having an open house tomorrow after I've spent a week of making snacks for music/drama day camp at church. I've almost got the kitchen presentable. I'd better get back to cleaning.
