okay i have never written a stroy in my life so this is the first one!
A Brother For Good

It just wasn’t fair, Laura thought. Albert got to be with Pa all the time now, she hardly ever got to see her pa anymore, and to think it was actually her pa and not Albert’s! Laura scolded herself, “If ma and pa heard me talkin’ like this they would be so ‘shamed of me. I just wish someone would understand how I feel.” Laura was walking by herself to school that day cause she was in a bad mood and didn’t want to be messed with. As Laura was entering the town Nellie Oleson walked by and made a snooty comment, well Nellie did it in the wrong time and Laura hauled off and punched her in the nose. “Oh you awful country girl how could you do a thing like this to me? Mother, Mother look at me my new dress is ruined because of the country girl.” Nellie screamed in horror. “ O my gosh I can’t believe I just punched Nellie! Well Pa and Ma are sure gonna be spittin’ mad at me for this specially cuz I was a talkin’ and a thinkin’ and I will be punished, but that was so worth it!” Laura went to school that day as if everything was normal, but when she walked out of the schoolhouse there she saw Ma waiting for her and she knew that she was in big trouble then. “Hi Ma, how are you doin’ this afternoon?” she asked nervously. “Laura Elizabeth Ingalls how could you do such a thing especially to Nellie Oleson? Now her mother will have everyone talking! I can’t believe you would ever do such a thing! What on earth possessed you tot do something so foolish and childish?” Then Ma was done on her rampage. “Well,” Laura began anxiously. “She was teasing me cause pa and me, Pa and I” Caroline corrected. “Pa and I weren’t spending a lot of time together cause Albert was here now, so that is why I punched her.” Laura looked down at her worn school shoes so that Ma wouldn’t see the tears filling her eyes. “ Ma it’s just not fair! I don’t get to spend hardly anytime with Pa anymore cause its always just Albert, Albert, Albert! I hate that name so much. Every time I hear it I just want to scream and run away and never came back anymore!” After that Laura burst into tears not able to control herself any longer. A Shocked Caroline stood there for about 5 minutes not knowing what to do. “Laura, I had no idea you felt this way why didn’t you ever tell your pa or me?” she asked quietly. She was very ashamed that she didn’t know how her now oldest daughter felt. “ Cause nobody would ever listen to me. I would always go and try to talk to pa but I never could cause Albert was always there.” After that Laura ran home. As Caroline was walking home she was pondering on what Laura had told her. When Caroline got home she went to talk to Charles immediately. “Charles, I need to talk to you privately. Albert please go into the house for a little while. Charles, Laura told me something that she has wanted to tell me for a long time. Why didn’t she ever tell me?” Charles asked. “Because you were to busy with Albert for Laura to have any time to talk to you by herself. Wow! I had no idea that she wanted to talk to me. Charles Ingalls how could you have no idea that your daughter would want to talk to you? She has favored talking to you more than me and now you tell me you didn’t know she wanted to talk to you!” Caroline started crying. Mean while Albert was in the house wondering what they were talking about. He walked out just in time to here Caroline yell at Charles. “Laura hates me that’s what,” Albert thought. “Well I’m going to run away and see how she will feel once I’m gone.” After that Albert started to cry. When Caroline went in from the house she told Laura that her pa wanted to talk to her. “Albert could you please come here,” Caroline asked. “Ma,” Laura said, “He was in the house but he went back out.” “Charles is Albert out there?” Caroline asked. “No dear I haven’t seen him since you told him to go into the house.” Charles said. “Charles he isn’t here I think he ran away!” Caroline cried. Laura was up in the loft thinking about what she just heard. Albert ran away because of her! Pa didn’t hate her he just didn’t know that she felt that way. She felt terrible that Albert ran away because of her. Laura cried herself into a deep sleep. When she woke up the next morning Albert wasn’t there. “Ma, can I please stay home from school today and help Pa look for Albert?” “Well I guess you can if you really want to. I do want to!” Laura and Pa went looking for Albert. They found him in a little cave crying. “Oh Albert I’m so sorry for the things I’ve said. I was just jealous of you. Please come home with me! How can I have a brother that doesn’t live with me?” There she said it her own brother! “Okay I will come home with you.” Albert said. While they were talking Charles was standing in a corner of the cave crying because his children were making amends. “Come on kids lets go home.” As they were walking home Laura thought to herself, “I have a brother for good now.”
