Little brother

My little brother (4 years) got 2 teeth knocked out yesterday. Thankfully they were baby teeth, so they'll grow back, but he has 2 stitches in his cheek where the teeth cut into it. He looks dreadful. It was really quite awful. There was blood everywhere. It happed about 8:00 last night, and he didn't stop bleeding untill after 11:00. Needless to say, my Mom took him to the ER. I got to stay home with everyone else, (we were all pretty upset, the little ones were crying) and my Dad meet my Mom at the ER.
Anyway, would you guys just please pray for him that he will heal fast without alot of pain, and that he'll have no infections. He's such a sweet little guy, it's hard to see him with a swollen lip and stitches.
He's always been by buddy, so I'm staying pretty close to him. I think we are going to be watching alot of LHOTP in the next couple of days.....

Prayers for little brother and for you and your family.....the trauma, tho small, will linger for a while......hang in there.......new teeth will grow in and he'll be proud to smile big at everyone.....

My minister's son had his front teeth knocked out as well and his new teeth are now in and he is fine.......it didn't seem to bother him that he didn't have any teeth......... :scratch:

Thanks guys for all the prayers! My mom took him to the DR this morning (actully, they are there right now) too see how everythings looking with the stitches. He is being such a brave guy. We keep telling him how pround we are of him.

Sorry it's taken me a while....He is doing so much better.! He goes tomorrow to get the stitches out. He has even started eating harder foods again, instead of just soft stuff. He is still sore, of 'course, but not anything like he was! He put his tooth under his pillow and is hoping for something big! lol

My neighbor's son recently lost a baby tooth... and he's in his late 50s! For heaven-only-knows what reason, the tooth didn't fall out till now, and the permanent tooth is coming in to take its place.

Still learning the ropes here I guess...
Anyway, it is often harder on us to see a little one suffer than it is on the little one. Poor guy! Makes me want to cuddle him and I don't even know him! Well, they do bounce back quick though - don't they? I hope he found a nice surprise under that pillow!
