Bugs

A trojan snuck in to my computer, and ate everything. Well.......not everything. Thankfully, I had most things backed up. But I hadn't backed up a project that I had gotten back to. Bummer. At least I wasn't toooooo far into it. It's just such a bother. I finally got started back into it, and some person with too much time and too little integrity released a trojan that wiped it all. I really wish that people like that would grow up.

I learned from experience to back up pictures, though! Especially now, I'd be devastated if I lost my pictures of the children!

So, I spent all this morning at my brother Aaron's house. He has a high speed connection, and it makes it MUCH faster for updating.

Ugh, I've had that happen to me.

I learned the hard way to back up my pictures and other important material on my computer.

Those people need to find something to do with their time.

My computer had the virus last month. Thankfully wasn't too bad, I didn't lose anything. It is said that usually during summer vacation, spring break, and Christmas vacation is when the bugs start to invade...that's usually when the kids are out from school.

Oh I hate viruses!!! :(

I recently started getting into photography (I'm not a pro or anything, but I like taking scenic and other nice pics) so I have lots of pictures I NEED to back up before something happens ....

Oh I wish! No, but I will post some of the scenic photo's I've taken of california's central valley & sequoia/kings canyon n'nal park hopefully this weekend. The avatar pic I have right now is a picture someone else took. It is a river in Kings Canyon national park. I've been there, it feels like you are in fairy land, unreal...

Ooooh, Carol! I look forward to seeing your pictures, too. I love to take pictures. I rarely take posed pictures of the children. I love taking pictures of them while they're in the middle of doing every-day things. Once in a while, I'll gather all of the nieces and nephews, and take a group photo of them out in the woods, or something. But it's hard to get them all smiling at once, because there are several little ones. And I'm not going to be shouting: "SMILE!!! And look HAPPY!!!!" at the children to try and get a photo. LOL!
I remember how much of a circus it was to get the last group photo. :Hahaha: I actually took progressive shots of the children sitting still and smiling, looking so angelic for the first picture - and then, as soon as the first click went off, mayhem ensued! LOL I love those pictures......arms, legs, toes and hair flying in the air to get back to playtime!


But for the most part, I catch them laughing and playing, digging in the sand - the moments that I want to remember.

I also like to take pictures of the animals in the woods, the bike trail and lake.....the campground.......I just love to take pictures!

Yeah, sometimes I like taking pictures like that too Savannah. There is one little boy though... (my friend's son) that is like the energizer bunny so if I take a pic of him I have to have my anti-blur mode on because that boy will just not be still! I wanted to take a pic of him and his dad posing a certain way but he got away from his dad and started walking away... I took the picture anyway and had to edit & crop so that you only see his face lol... here is the pic

It looks like he's standing still looking down but actually he's running, looking at the grass as he escapes! :haha:

On the other hand, here is a pic of my little cousin who is very easy to direct. He's a happy little boy, always smiling so I guess this would be a natural pose for him.

We had Norton for a while, but when we came back from our cruise and wanted to share our pictures, Norton wouldn't let them go through. And then when people sent us files with pictures, Norton kept them too. So....we changed to AVG. Like I said though, they have the free program hidden on their site and you have to do some looking around to find it. :think:

I also have AVG the free version now. I had Norton prior to my virus invasion on my computer last month, it had expired before my 1 year renewal, that was how I got the virus. My friend recommended me the AVG, it scans the computer every time I turn on.
