I can honestly say he was in a class by himself.
Lisa and I have noticed that when Barney was harmonizing with Andy on the front porch or in the courthouse, he was perfectly in tune. I guess he was only lousy when the script called for it.

Throwback Thursday: Miami Sound Machine! This goes WAY back in the late 70's (or early 80's) when Gloria Estefan was still in MSM with her husband Emilio. At the time, she and her cousin sang lead and sang primarily in Spanish. I remember loving this as a kid. Enjoy!

One last Throwback Thursday (for today anyway). I know Dave will get me for this one! I couldn't help it though...(oh, and check out a very young Ralph Macchio here, next to Dick Van Patten).

Oh, I didn't realize the kid had a band! I guess that's the Ricky Nelson Syndrome. Good-looking guy on a TV show? Hey, stick a guitar in his hands! He sounds okay, though.

haha...Think my mom liked Ricky Nelson.
This song is okay.A part from the annoying part of her voice in one part.

More from Stevie...one of my personal favorites. I also think this video is cool...celebrating African-American musicians past to present.

This song is still SO good! This band played on GH's Nurses Ball during yesterday's episode, and they played this song. That performance isn't up yet, so here's the original video for now. This is truly a classic! Oh, for those that don't know (I'm sure most of you do) the guitarist in red is Ron Moss from The Bold and the Beautiful! He was there yesterday and he still looks great!

They sure don't write 'em like this anymore (and I bet they wouldn't be able to anyway).

And of course twenty years from now, people who are teenagers now will be saying, "Boy, they sure don't make music now like they did back in 2014!"

I can only imagine what music is going to be like 20 years from now!
My parents recently bought a new record player, so we've been listening to a lot of their old records. I love the Billy Joel record we have. Some of his music was released twenty years before I was born, and I like it a lot better than any stuff that's recent! My favorite song by him is probably Piano Man- it's a simple but beautiful song. I also like Only The Good Die Young. I think a lot of people misinterpret the song- you really have to listen to it to know the meaning of the song

I really think that Billy Joel is an overlooked songwriter. He wrote some amazing stuff. And he's an incredible pianist!

He was also the voice of Dodger in the 80s Disney movie Oliver and Company. I bought a song that Dodger (Joel) sings in the movie from iTunes, but it was part of a Billy Joel album not an Oliver and Company soundtrack
