Let's see.....
"Send in the Clowns" Basically it's about someone who cares about this girl but she's doing her own thing and not really noticing. When she realizes she likes him, it's too late now because he's gone away. In the song it's like she's calling herself a clown, foolish for the way she acted.
"The End of the World" The song really needs no explanation as you listen to the lyrics. I don't know if anyone has seen 'Girl Interrupted'. This song is playing in the background of a very tragic scene.

Good songs, Carol.
Here's the Beatles' Long and Winding Road, one of several songs Paul wrote for his late mother.

I always get teary-eyed when I hear the Nickelback song "Far Away". It always reminds me of my grandma, who has had Alzheimer's for the past few years. Even though she's still here, she is "far away" and I can't get through that song without thinking of her.

Oh, Christmas Shoes! That is such a good song, Rhonda, and another one that I can't make it through without crying. I can't even listen to it right now because with the kind of mood I'm in right now, I know I'll just start bawling. I love the movie as well.

All good choices.
This is one of my favorites, and oddly apropos for my current situation, but that's a whole other story...

"This is Just a Dream" on Carrie Underwood's new CD...I rarely can listen to that song, even though I'd like to b/c her voice on it is amazing. Just sings about a place I'd rather not think about going to, and I get so choked up by the end.
Maureen, I love Garth! Another one of his songs that gets me is "The Dance".

Here's a beautiful John Prine song about old people. It's called Hello In There.
