| As I recall, it was never explained. I don't think there was even a house there before. Kezia just suddenly appeared, pretending to hang out the laundry, serve coffee, etc. Maybe her crow knocked over a lantern. | |

| Hmm, never thought about that before.
This is off topic...but one thing I always wondered was why the church was never overflowing.
In one episode (when Miss Beadle was pregnant) Laura made a comment about the towns population was soon to be (something like) 130?
And yet, the church only held maybe 25 people?
I guess 3/4 of the town didn't go to church? lol You remain responsible.. Forever... For what you have tamed. - Antoine de Saint-Exupery

Yeah, another one of those Little House oddities. Also, did you ever notice that whenever there's a new student in school, there's always conveniently a space for him or her? I guess that's because that new student is only there for one episode.

| Yes...They must have tought about it! Too many people in the Restaurant and very few at church...But the fact that really, really bothered me, is what Jes9 pointed out: some students were at school only for an episode!! Where did they go after it? Their stay in Walnut Grove should be so short? I wish that Elmer, Anna and Olga , and Graham could be Walnut Grove pupils for ever and not just for a couple of days!
