| Opie has been so busy this week! He's given me lots of stories for the children! But tonight, he made me laugh so much......I was making some carmel corn, baking it in the oven......and I was doing some writing at the computer in between stirring the carmel corn. Well, I heard Opie make a little noise that sounded like "Ohhhhh!" as if he'd discovered something really interesting, so I went to see what he was up to. I found him ON the dining room table! As soon as he saw me, he jumped down. So, I went back to writing. A few minutes later, it was time to stir the carmel corn, and as I went to the kitchen, I found a Hansel & Gretel-style trail of cherries on the floor! I picked them up, wondering how they'd spilled, and went in and stirred the carmel corn. As I came back out of the kitchen, I saw Opie on the dining room table again - gently picking a cherry up by its stem, out of the bowl it was in! As soon as he had a good hold on it, he'd jump down, and shake it vigorously, making it look like it was playing bongos on his face! :Hahaha: It slipped from his lips, and when it did - he went back up on the table, and picked another cherry out to play with! So now I know how the cherries "spilled" on the floor. I may give Opie lessons in pie making, as long as he's so enthralled with cherries. :Hahaha: | |

| I should try! :Hahaha: I brought home a paper bag today, and sat it down on the floor. Opie climbed in and was rolling around, making lots of noise. Well, Thomas, our adult cat, was sitting on a shelf just above where Opie and the bag were. I swear, it looked like Thomas got a huge, rascally smile on his face, and he LEAPED down on top of the bag, and pressed it closed with Opie inside! :Hahaha: Opie seemed to think it was a great game. But he thinks that Thomas is Mr. Cool, anyway. | |

| Opie does sound adorable...I love that name for a cat! And speaking of cherries......our little Beagle Jenna ate an entire box of chocolate covered cherries on Christmas Eve...they were supposed to be for my dad!! I absentmindedly handed a bunch of gift bags to my son to place under the tree, including THAT one, which she proceeded to devour in our absence. You can imagine what we came home to. At least she's ok...she's a small dog and that could have been very serious. I've learned my lesson! No more chocolate for my dad! “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”

| You know, I've read that some dogs aren't affected by chocolate, and I'm thinking that Brianna may be one of them. She's eaten a LOT of chocolate over the years (no matter where I hide it, she seems to find it!) and yet, other than a tummy ache from over-indulging, she's fine. I'm not going to give her any on purpose, of course. But I'm glad that it doesn't seem to bother her too much. | |

| My dog Yannick (the one who dead some four years ago), used to eat chocolate too and never was affected by it. Strange...He also used to steal candies... Oh..and I forgot to say that one of my cats, the white one, Benito, LOVED olives to death... Vanesa. | |

| Thanks Lily, Savannah & Vanessa. That's my favorite pic I have of the two dogs together. OMG, Savannah, I can't believe your dog went and did it too! Does Brianna have computer access?! And LOL, I like naming my dogs 'people' names too..particularly my 'girls'. I joke that they're the only daughters I'll ever have, so why not give them the names I'd planned for my 'girls'! LOL! The accent is on the first syllable (there IS a theory about that...your uncle is right), so when they're in touble, they hear that first harsh sound. LOL, works for my kids too! “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”

| I named my puppy Hosanna after a new song that I had learned just before getting my new baby. Everyone thinks that it is an unusual name and a lot of people think that her name is Rosanna. I think it's a cool name. She is 6 and a half now, my how time flies. | |
