You Might Be a LHotP Fan If...

Feeling a bit giddy, and thought I'd compose something to keep your smiles strong.



You might be a Little House Fan if.....

1. You get checks printed with the Little House on them.

2. Wear a bonnet while grocery shopping.

3. Hum the theme to LH while in a stall in a public restroom.

4. Get a group of friends together and sing "Onward Christian Soldiers" as you march through town.

5. Have a "Mr. Edwards" come by in longjohns with Christmas gifts.

6. Instead of a lemonade stand sale haysticks. .25 a stick

7. Tell your family you are getting ready for The Long Winter. Boil turnips and grind wheat.

8. Post a sign stating "FRESH EGGS" and your address.

9. Tell your Doctor you have the vapors.

10. Ask a very pregnant lady if she is in the family way. (She might not know what that means.)

11. Serve blackbird pie for dinner.

12. Tell the kids to dig a deep hole, when they ask why tell them its for the well.

13. Tell your mailman you can't read, have him read all your mail to you.

14. While waiting for a prescription to be filled sing "Old Dan Tucker."

15. Give a new night cap at a lingerie shower.

16. Ask you butcher if he has any fresh rattlesnake for a stew.

17. Run down a hill and fall down.

18. When your neighbors dogs barks at you, run and climb on your roof.

19. Bake pies and set them on your windowsill to see who the creeper of you town could be.

20. Put apples in your shirt when you are going for jury duty. Its a sure way to get dismissed.

21. You answer the phone "WALNUT GROVE!"

22. Instead of wanting to drive a car your 16 yr old wants to learn how to drive a team of horses.

23. You name your child "Perley Day."

24. Instead of cooling off in the pool you go in search of an icehouse.

25. You carry your Bible to church in a wooded box.

26. Drink your coffee from a jug.

27. Fish with dough balls.

28. Show your new neighbors how well you can spit.

29. Tell you kids you've had it with city life, build an outhouse.

30. You play Blind Mans bluff with school children.

31. You call the lady who does your alterations for you, Mrs. Wipple.

32. You try to find a half-pint of milk.

33. When asked at church if you remember who Adam is you yell, " LINWOOD BOOMER!"

34. You go to your local libary sit down and start reading aloud your braille book.

35. Plant wheat in your backyard.

36. Eating curly fries makes you think of Nellie's curls.

37. Get a tattoo of Ma's china doll.

You use enamled blue plates and tin mugs with wooden bowls as dishes.

I'll go one better...you can recite the entire dialogue of Country Girls.

Pa: Morning, fine morning.
Ma: Mary, Laura, come to breakfast!

Yes! Also, if you have to buy a new measuring cup and you put the one you found back because it doesn't say 1/2 pint on it.

You ask your pastor if you can sing "Bringing in the Sheaves" at church.

When you are sick you lament about the fact that Dr. Baker can't make a house call so you don't have to go to the doctor.

Thought of another good one, I do this one too...

You might be a LHOTP fan if...

You have LHOTP scenes for your backdrops on either your computer or your phone.

You might be a Little House on the Prairie fan if you:

Get excited when you see a LH book for sale and you already have multiple copies of it. You buy it anyway because it is either in too good of condition to pass up, or it is a different cover than the other copies you have.

That is me, for sure!
