Ha! Yeah, it happens all the time, because we give them peanuts. A couple years ago I had a black squirrel sit on my lap and gorge himself with eleven peanuts before he hopped down and waddled home.

No, I never kept a snake for a pet. I have seen a couple of snakes that I thought were cute, though.

Never been in a car where the driver fell asleep at the wheel. Sounds scary! Did you grab the wheel yourself and prevent an accident, Savannah?

Yup, the chipmunks come up begging for food all the time. One summer we had a very aggressive group, and some of them would actually jump on us and cling to our pantlegs as soon as we walked out the door. There were a few times when strangers came to the door, and as they were standing there they were shocked to find chipmunks climbing their legs.

Yes. That was before I was licensed to drive, too. The driver had taken a medication before we left, which I didn't know. About a half hour later, we were on the highway - not a divided highway - and the van started swaying. Next thing I knew, we were in the opposing traffic's lane with a semi coming at us, blaring his horn for all he was worth. I was trying to wake the driver, and when I couldn't, I finally unbuckled, jumped over and steered the van back into our own lane. Then, I pulled us off the road, and got the van stopped. I never rode with that particular driver again!

I've never had a deer in my backyard - but my brother has them on occasion. And he lives right in town, too.
