Okay gang, it’s time to tell us why you love living where you do. Post pics and tells us!
Since I started this thread, I guess I’ll go first. I have lived in California for 25 years now and love living here.
Most people think that all of California is like the southern California they see on television or movies, so if they were to go to the central valley or northern California, they’d think they were in a different state. That brings me to one of the top reasons why I love it here: Variety of Landscape. Here you can experience volcanos, rainforests, deserts, redwoods, huge rivers, frozen glaciers, beaches, ski slopes, rolling high country plains, and deep mountain lakes.

.....
.....
The land is not the only thing that is diverse. I think that I can get a plate of food from almost just about every culture in the world here. Just about anyone you meet in California came from somewhere else in the country or world. You will experience a different surrounding and culture by visiting San Francisco, Los Angeles, Big Sur, and the Central Valley. There are different things to do all over california, for example, if you were in southern California you could experience many things like Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Disneyland, people rollerblading at the beach. It’s fun seeing the places you see in movies. I’ve been to ‘Rydel’ high school from Grease, the planetarium where James Dean & Natalie Wood and the other kids had a fight, Pig ‘n Whistle on Hollywood Blvd where Shirley Temple and other famous stars used to eat, Simi Valley where Little House was filmed, the Hollywood Bowl where Bette Midler rehearses a song in the movie Beaches, the streets featured in the original Holloween and Nightmare on Elm Street movies, and the list goes on… If you were to go to the central valley, you can experience things like farms, country style living, more slow paced lifestyle. But you can pretty much do anything your heart desires here when it comes to recreation and you can do it for most months out of the year.
.....
.....
Yes, it’s true we don’t “fully” experience the four seasons but the weather we have here means we get to be outside for the majority of the year which means more road trips, symphony, theater, cinema, museums, outside concerts, BBQs, camping, bike riding, hiking, rock climbing, the list is endless…
.....
.....
.....
:shy: Sorry, got a little carried away... But that's why I love it here.
How about you guys? Tell us about your state. Please post pics!

Alice, those are great pics! I like country and that's why I like living in california's central valley. I'd like to visit Virginia someday. One of my favorite songs is "Country Roads".
So here is to West Virginia :cowgirl:

I love West Virginia and the song Country Roads, also. I hope more people will post pictures from their states

The one and only thing I love about living in Massachusetts (or Taxachusetts as I usually say) is experiencing the four seasons.

Summer
Fall in the Berkshires
Winter in our backyard

Although the winter weather is not always pleasant, overall I do love my state - which is the same as Debbie's
She already posted some great pictures - I love Hershey Park! Here are some other pictures of our state:
I love the valleys in some areas of the state!
Every summer when I was a kid, we would visit Lancaster County.
Made famous on "The Office" TV show, but it's home to me.
Carol, your pictures of California are gorgeous!

I was in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania one time, stayed there for 3 days. It was really neat! I went walking around town, saw the liberty bell, raced up the steps just like Rocky did at that museum... got in so many taxy cabs while there.. lol It was really a neat place and I wanted to go to the Hershey Park.
