It has returned

I went to work today and came home after 4 hrs. I called my dr and
went in this afternoon to see him. He is still baffled. All of the
tests have come back negative and so new he has me watching everything
that I eat and drink. I will try to stay away from glutin, which is
very difficult because it's everywhere.
I have to take a fibre drink twice a day, yummy, ugh.

The saga continues.........

I call my dr's office every day or two to let them know if things are getting worse or better. I did have a few good days last week but over the weekend i had some mighty bad days. I called them on Monday and they told me that if the pain gets any worse to return to the ER. On Tuesday the pain was unbearable at work but I finished my shift and headed off to a different ER than the other that I had been in.
It was a madhouse and so I knew that I was going to be there awhile. I wasn't quite tempted to just leave because i knew that I have to get this problem under control and soon. So I waited about 5 hrs to get the bloodwork done and another 45 or so to get moved to a smaller waiting room. ALL of the beds in the ER were full and so we were all witting in this little room It was chaos.
The dr got to me and asked how long I had been ill and when I told him my problem started about 6 weeks ago, he told me "that the ER is for emergencies, not for people to come when they have an existing condition." I had told him that my dr sent me and he asked what tests my dr wanted me to have done. I said "he told me to come when the pain got worse and it got worse so here I am." I was stunned and in too much pain to reply.
I ended up with just a pain perscription and a wonderful afternoon and evening of doing nothing.
I called my dr today and he is putting me on a gluten free diet to see if it is a wheat allergy.
This Sunday I am being annointed with oil and being prayed for. The drs might not know the answers but I know someone who does and I have faith that He is in control.

I'll Keep Praying

I got a call today from my dr's office. He has referred me to a specialist, a gastrologist (sp). I haven't heard when or where so I am praying that it will be soon. I am really having a bad day, so much pain!

I'm so sorry to hear that you're in pain, Marilyn. I'm praying for you. Maybe the gastrologist will have the answer you've been waiting for.

That is really a great idea. Maybe this is the key! Hope so Marilyn. I'm sorry you're in pain too, and am sending prayers up as well. Especially this Sunday when you are being annointed---I think that is wonderful.

The annointing was wonderful. My pastor along with 3 elders laid their hands om me. My uncle is an elder and he began the praying. I felt so loved and cared for and knew that God was present.
I have been home from work so far this week and will likely be here the entire week. I have had a good few days since but I went out today in the late afternoon and was only gone for about an hour and now I am feeling major pain in my side. The same thing happened one other day last week, I went out and paid the price.

I talked to the nurse about the referral to the specialist. I haven't heard when it will be yet but she said that it will likely take about 6-8 weeks to get in. I hope I can survive that long.

Glad to hear the annointing was a wonderful experience for you, Marilyn. I can imagine that had to be very moving. I hope that you can gain strength from God in dealing with this pain.

Went to the dr today. Still no answers. I am having trouble sleeping, am in too much discomfort. I'm tired physically and emotionally but I know that God is in control. If I don't keep that thought in my head and heart then I would be suffering spiritually too. So for that area is doing ok.

I have been in bed all day. The pain killers that I have been taking aren't working so I called the dr to ask for something to help control the pain. He perscribed another drug so I will give that a try.
I also suggested that he admit me to hospital and would be willing to do whatever tests that he needed me to do. But I never got the ok so I guess I will have to keep plugging away at home.
If you do't mind, please pray that either the drug works or he sends me to hospital. I had many tests done in april but wouldn't complain if they were done again. I just need answers. I am running out of strength.

Went to the ER last night. I had some xrays done that came back normal and so they sent me home. It is very frustrating. I am very tired, have been in bed for 4 days straight.

I'm so sorry that you're going through such a struggle, Marilyn. Not sure if you've mentioned this before, but have you tried chiropractic care? I am a firm believer in that...I have Scoliosis and my 14 yr old son is being treated right now too. I haven't gone in a long time myself, since we're paying for our son, and since I've stopped going my migraines and headaches have become more frequent. A healthy spine can be the key to your overall well-being! Give it a shot if you haven't already...

Marilyn, you continue to be in my prayers. I am so sorry that you have been feeling so poorly. I agree 100% with Amy. I too, go to a chiropractor every 2-3 months. My back and neck get sore quite a bit, and when I was in highschool, I had pulled a muscle in my neck. That's why I started going in the first place. Now that I've had 2 children, my back is sore on a regular basis, mostly in the morning, after I wake up. I don't lift my 5 year old anymore, but I lift my 2 year old from time to time. I'm on the smaller side, and my kids are tall, just like their dad, so it doesn't take much for my back to become sore.
I used to have frequent headaches too, and menstrual migraines. I don't have the migraines anymore, and I don't have too many headaches either. I know that it's because of chiropractic care. If you haven't tried it, or you have, and it's been awhile, it may be worth giving it a try, because you may benefit from it like Amy and I have.
Also, I've never tried accupuncture, but I've heard that it can do wonders for people that have different types of pain.

I see my chiropractor 3x a week. He is a miracle worker and has helped greatly with the migraines. He is also concerned about this problem that I am currently having. He has no answers as to what may be going on either.
At the moment, he is in summy Mexico for a week. I'll see him again on Monday.
