| I remember while Nellie rode the horse, she called it a "him". I thought Laura would correct her, but she also referred to Bunny as "he", "him", etc. I noticed this quite some time ago, but was reminded tonight to post.
So, in later eps, wasn't Bunny a female? Maybe not. Maybe the name was considered unisex, and the name has thrown me.
A little help, please.
Thanks. | |

| from what i remember is that bunny started out as a male in christmas at plum creek...then switched to female in bunny, went back to a male in the race and switched to a female for journey in the spring
maybe the writers were waiting to see if anyone noticed

| I think this is another case of writing discontinuity that often plagues LHotP. It doesn't make sense that Laura would confuse Bunny's gender since she demonstrated quite clearly in the pilot movie how to tell the difference between Pat and Patty. | |

I hate when writer's think the audience has amnesia.

| You know, I thought Bunny's sex had changed somewhere, but I was way to lazy to find out. | |

| I think this happens in other shows too. There's a Road to Avonlea episode where Sara is talking about a horse and she keeps changing the horses sex as she talks! | |

| It even happened with Blues Clues. In the early episodes Steve would call Blue a he, but then one day Blue was a she. Hmmm.... | |

| Well I was just watching the episodes Bunny and The Race last night and they all refer to the horse with She or Her, BUT when you look at the horse in the beginning, I thought in the episode The Race, when Laura steps off because the horse is limping you can clearly see that it's a male horse! |
