| I can't stand this episode!! I cried during Laura's essay in "Country Girls" I BAWLED during this episode! I felt so close to the characters like they were my family. I was actually scared for Mr. Edwards and Laura! I probably wont watch this one again. Too sad. Sometimes life throws you under the bus. You gotta hold on for dear life. Don't waste one single day. ============================================================================================== I wonder how I find myself with the greatest boy ever! <3 He loves me in spite of my issues. | |

Yes that's him, I read that on TV.com, this is what is says: You may recognize actor Richard Farnsworth in this episode, who plays one of the men who beats Charles up. Farnsworth played a very different character in the memorable "Anne of Green Gables" film, where he portrayed the kind and gentle Matthew Cuthbert. I liked him better in Anne of Green Gables though! About Quarantine, I just love the part where Carrie tries to comfort her Ma when she is crying in bed! So sweet :alright: |

| I liked this episode but couldn't Laura tell she had poison ivy? She was a country girl that probably encountered the itchy rash before.
When I watch these shows, I really appreciate modern medicine, we still have many things we can't cure, but they lost many more back then. Must have been very scary.

| If, Laura did catch the fever. Wouldn't Mary, get it as well? Since, they sleep in the same bed. I believe, when her Pa mention about Mr. Edwards first wife & daughter. Laura, didn't want to mention, she went over to the old cabin. So, she must have got the poison ivy, from going there or when the girls were picking raspberries for the pie.

| I enjoyed the final scene of the episode, where Doc Baker tells Laura she only has poison ivy and everyone is so happy about it. It is a happy scene after a very intense episode!
I looked up this episode on IMDB and it was directed by Victor French! It also said that Rance Howard and Richard Farnsworth both had small roles in the episode (I think in the town Charles went to, to bring Doc Baker back to Walnut Grove) but I wasn't able to pick them out of the crowd
