| In this episode, a man comes to Walnut Grove and convinces Harriet to convert her restaurant to a franchise that only sells three meals a day. Slowly, the restaurant becomes less popular because the customers are tired of the only three meals that Harriet will serve. To teach Harriet the lesson that switching to a franchise was not good, Nels and Charles open up a restaurant inside the Oleson's house, across the street from the franchise. Harriet is forced to close the restaurant. After this, she learns her lesson and reopens the original restaurant. |

| I like this one its funny! I liked the end where another man came to Walnut Grove and asked if Harriet wanted her restaurant to only sell fried chicken, and Harriet and Nels laughed in the guy's face! | |

| I love this episode. It always cracks me up though how Nels could open a restaurant in his own house and all Charles does is play the fiddle!!! If i were Nels i'd be saying "Hey Charles, how bout you put down that fiddle and give me a hand here"!!! | |

| I never realized this until watching this episode this morning, but in a scene in the beginning, Nels and Harriet are arguing over whether or not they should turn the restaurant into a franchise, and Nels walks out of the house. Harriet asks him, "Where are you going, Nels?" and Nels responds, "I'm going crazy, Harriet!" oh, what would LHOTP be without Nels and his sarcastic comments? | |

Love that Nels......when my kids were younger, they would ask me the same question and my reply would be, "I'm going crazy, wanna go with me?" They knew then, that they had pushed mom over the limits...... CANCER FREE!!! April 9, 1998-April 9, 2025-I AM A SURVIVOR!!!

| I can't say this is a favorite episode of mine, but I don't mind Harriet learning a lesson every once in a while. | |

| I can’t help liking this episode, even though it’s a stupid one. It sure is a switch to see Harriet Oleson beg Caroline Ingalls!
I love the part after their first day of operating Mrs. Sullivan’s when Nels and Harriet are totaling the receipts when Harriet tells Nels to “trust her” and pinches his chin playfully. I wonder if that was in the script or Katherine ad-libbed it. |

| James & Cassandra got in trouble with Ma in this episode when they were running around the tables & arguing, then Ma made the kids go to the kitchen, what do you think she said to them? |

I don't know. I'm sure it made Cassandra cry though...

| Why would Ma make Cassandra cry if she punished her? If there was a scene where James & Cassandra were getting yelled it, what would Ma say? |

| "WHY are you crying Cassandra?" It is the lack of Christianity that has brought us where we are. Not a lack of churches or religious forms but of the real thing in our hearts. LIW.....Words From a Fearless Heart | |

| I don't think she did something so bad to deserve a spanking...and much less a whipping! Cassandra and Carrie were generally quite quiet girls. When they run at the restaurant, it looked too much as if Pa had said to them to make noise and run just to bother the clients on purpose . Remember that Charles and Nells wanted "Mrs. Sullivan's Kitchen" would end ,to begin again with their old, deary little town restaurant... And Ma could be firm when the children needed to be educated, but be sure she was never the kind of mothers who "yells" at their children. As a pioneer woman she could give a spanking time to time, but without anger and without any yelling. This was the style back then. Vanesa. | |

| Considering the scene was over when ma told the children to go to the kitchen, I'm sure she didn't say anything further to them relating to the scene. | |

| What if there was acutually a scene where James & Cassandra were pulled into the kitchen & Ma tells them that she thought she'll never do this before, then she comes out of the kitchen, goes to the Olsen's & she gets the strap, then she whips James & Cassandra & sends them home. |
