Another Forum Party!!
All of the superheroes who have super powers, please keep all displays of your incredible abilities outdoors.
My hero doesn't have a special power, but stepped in when people needed help, and did what he could.
The "room" looks great, Carol! You did a wonderful job decorating!

I am Wonder Woman. Strong like my male counterparts, I am also beautiful and feminine. Known as Princess Diana in my Amazonian homeland, I traveled to America and fought the Nazis in the 1940's. As the world changed, so did my causes.
My bracelets stop bullets, but also allow me to communicate with my homeland. I can run great distances, jump very high, and if I catch you in my Golden Lasso you are compelled to tell the truth. My tiara, while delicate looking, is an excellent boomerang. Mostly I run places, but when I have to travel long distances I take my invisible plane.
Many have discovered that my beauty and femininity do not mean that I can't hold my own.

My name is Peter Parker, a.k.a, Spiderman, and I was born in 1962. I was bitten by a radio-active spider and now I have all these pretty cool super spidey-powers. I have excellent spidey-senses and agility, and my favorite thing is probably my cool webslingers, allowing me to swing from building to building in order to help people. I'm in love with the 'girl next door' (literally) MJ...she is gorgeous but I'm pretty shy unless I'm Spiderman, and she doesn't know that I am him. I have a couple of scary enemies, The Green Goblin and Doctor Octopus, but I can take them.
I'm loving all these superheroes...most days I want to BE Maureen's! :haha:

Aunt May has baked some special cookies for our party!
But it's going on lunch-time...we should have a healthy lunch fit for a superhero first:

Let me ask all the party goers this: is the superhero you chose, the one you would be for a day if you had the chance?
Wonder Woman is for me and I might just keep that Avatar because it goes great with my Fearless Leader title.

Thanks... and...
Wow, I love all your avatars & sigs!!!! :idance:
Amy, make sure you to thank aunt May for me... those cookies are delicious!!!
Well, my name is Jean Grey-Summers and like Rogue, am a member of the X-Men.
My alias names are Marvel Girl and Phoenix. I was born with telepathic and telekinetic powers. When I was 10 years old, I saw my best friend, Annie, get hit by a car. The stress of that even activated my powers as my mind linked to Annie's and I sensed what she felt as she was dying. The trauma I experienced nearly killed me, but instead it left me in a coma. My parents took me to Professor Charles Xavier who helped me and recruited me to his school for training.
I am an Omega-leval mutant and have been one of the physical hosts of the vastly powerful Phoenix Force who possesses god-like powers. With the Phoenix Force, I have potentially limitless powers and can even rise from the dead.
I can communicate with others telepathically, read the thoughts of others, influence and control the minds of others, I can also communicate with animals like dolphins, dogs & ravens. I can also telepathically take away or control people's natural bodily functions and senses, such as sight, hearing, smell, taste, or even mutant powers. LOL
Oh and yes Cheryl, I would choose to be Jean. Wonder Woman is pretty cool too and Rogue. Love your avatar!

:shifty: No, if I could choose to be a superhero for a day, I wouldn't pick Zorro - much as I love 'im. (At this point, I'm pretty sure I'd have to pass on being a superhero for a day. There are too many ugly possibilities. )

Amy, that lunch and those cookies look fabulous! (And I'm not even hungry! )
Carol.....Why am I not surprised that there's fire surrounding your character?? (And, I hope you don't mind if I toast some marshmallows while we chat.)

Glad you enjoyed the food, ladies.
Now Savannah, all I'm missing from you is a picture of Antonio Banderas. I DO so love Zorro! Great choice!
Carol, I can honestly say I would not be Spiderman, even for a day. I hate spiders, I'd look horrible in that tight spandex, and you'd never catch me jumping off a building, even with cool web-slingers to help me!

A question for everyone? What superhero movies are your favorites? Or what is your experience attending one of these movies?
I think I have to start with Batman, the original one. I didn't see it at the theater buy my brother and cousin went and the line was at least about 2 blocks long... LOL It was ridiculous! There was Batman everything! Of course, after they saw the movie, they each had to have a black t-shirt w/ the batman logo on it! lol
The one I remember that had a big line was Spiderman! My brother and cousin and I all got up early, had breakfast and then headed to the theater to catch the earliest matinee. Boy were we surprised when we got to the mall! There was a line that was sticking outside the door and when we got there, we saw that it was for Spiderman! The movie did not disappoint though! People started cheering at the opening credits.
I've also gone to see every X-Men movie at the theaters and can't wait for May.

I saw the first two Batman movies and the first Spiderman movie. I enjoyed them. I also saw at least the first two Superman movies with Chris Reeves. I've seen parts of the third one, but I don't know that I saw the entire movie. Chris was one of my favorite actors and it's hard to believe that neither he nor his wife are with us.

As I was going through characters trying to decide who I wanted to be for the forum party, I saw Rogue and the way she was drawn with the white hair in front and the dark hair in the back, reminded me of what my hair does when the gray really starts to show.....kind of a Bride of Frankenstein thing going on!!! :haha:

Rogue kicks butt! See Jeane and her can be good friends and you can even touch her, it might KILL her... but she'll revive :haha:
I loved the X-Men series!

:shy: I've never seen any of the movies. I grew up watching reruns of the old Spiderman series (animated and live action) Wonder Woman, Superman.....LOTS of those shows. But I've never seen any of the modern adaptations.

I used to watch the original black and white Superman program when it was on.....But when Christopher Reeves came along and did his version, that was it for me. Those blue eyes won me over real fast.......Superman could melt me with his lazar eyes anytime he wanted to.....Christopher Reeves did a wonderful job portraying the Man of Steel. I also used to watch the original Batman series, before they threw it up on the big screen.
I also have seen the X-Men movies, and recently, Josh and I have been watching The Fantastic Four.Amazing all the super hero comics that have been turned into movies...........

Now, let me ask a stupid question, Carol. Jean Gray from the X-Men series; that was her life when she was young before she grew up and was in the triangle with Wolverine and the guy (sorry, I can't think of his name) that had to keep his eyes covered?
"I would fight for you - I'd lie for you - walk the wire for you - ya I'd die for you..."
