| About three years ago I lost my voice for about a week. I didnt think much about it when I lost me voice the next year, or when I lost my voice in the fall. But just a few weeks ago, I got REALLY sick and lost my voice. So, I was singing Just a Dream with my friend the other day, and when I got done I could hardly talk at all. And here I go again losing my voice. I'm afriad there is something wrong, but I dont want to tell my parents. I'm going to if I dont get my voice back in a week. I'm really scared that the docotr is going to tell me I can't sing anymore. That literally would kill me. Pray please!! I'm really scared. Sometimes life throws you under the bus. You gotta hold on for dear life. Don't waste one single day. ============================================================================================== I wonder how I find myself with the greatest boy ever! <3 He loves me in spite of my issues. | |

| How awful. I would tell your parents. How is it they haven't noticed you lost your voice anyway? If there is something wrong you need to get it looked at right away and tell the doctor that it has happened before.
Good luck! I'll be praying.

| I agree with Cheryl. You do need to tell your parents and tell them it has happened before. Don't wait, take care of it now. If there is nothing wrong then your mind will be at ease sooner than later. Spring is finally here, the lovely pink blooms on the "spray" tree outside my window are gone leaving a beautiful willow. | |

| Ack! I told my mom. She's afriad I have like a peanut or something stuck in my lung. That happened to her once, and they like gave her all kinds of freakin shots!!!! Argness!! I hope thats not whats wrong. Then again it could be something worse. She also said it might just be that I have weak vocal chords. I hope thats not it either because I just got a position in a praise band as the lead singer. Sometimes life throws you under the bus. You gotta hold on for dear life. | Congrats on getting lead singer in your band! Don't worry, just rest up those vocal chords and I'm sure you'll regain them soon. I seriously don't think there's a peanut in your lung! If that happened to your mom, that is a very freak thing and the odds of it happening to you would be a million to one, trust me. Give it time. Hope you get better soon Robinsgirl! “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”

| Don't assume the worst, Robinsgirl. Everytime I had a cough, a mole that looked funny 'to me', an ache or sore throat, I would think I had some horrible disease. I was always afraid to say anything to my parents because I felt they would think it was stupid. I really wish I had said something to them, it would have saved me a lot of unnecessary worry.
Congratulations on getting the lead singer position in the praise band, that's awesome! Spring is finally here, the lovely pink blooms on the "spray" tree outside my window are gone leaving a beautiful willow.

| Thanks guys! My voice didnt completely go away this time, it's just really hoarse after I sing. Ya, my mom got a peanut stuck in her lung. I'm not sure how. My mom has had some weird injuries. My music teacher said it might be that I have been overworking it. In that case two or more weeks of total rest should clear it up... I don't like that idea either..... :( uggggg...... | Hopefully that will do the trick. Hard as it will be to do, if it works it will be worth it in the end. Good luck! Spring is finally here, the lovely pink blooms on the "spray" tree outside my window are gone leaving a beautiful willow. | |

| hey! I'm sorry to hear you've been having some bad luck with your voice, but it's a good thing you said something about it! I'm always afraid the worst is going to happen, but most of the time it doesn't so I'll be hoping that you feel better real soon, and congrats on becoming the lead singer in that band! | |
