| I don't mind the snow, but these frigid, arctic temperatures are so bitterly cold. It's awful! If it could just warm up to 20 degrees, I would be happy. | |

| It's very cold and windy here too, with another 3 inches of snow to boot. I love the snow as long as I don't have to drive in it, but I'm hoping it's not going to snow every few days all winter long or it will be June before I see the ground. | |

| It was 21 degrees here last night and with the wind chill it was -2.
The wind has really been blowing here for three days now, it's so loud and then when the metro goes by behind us it almost sounds like what I would think a tornado must sound like when it's on it's way. I can't imagine temperatures below that without the wind chill.
We have had no more snow. Spring is finally here, the lovely pink blooms on the "spray" tree outside my window are gone leaving a beautiful willow.

| I complain when it's too hot, and when it's too cold. That's why my favorite season is Fall. Although, the Fall season has been waaaaaaay too short the past few years. | |

Do you know how hard it is to get up after being warm under the blankets? Yesterday we had some nasty fog. When I was driving home from work... very foggy and dark. It felt like I was lost inside a dark cloud... very depressing lol - Teresa wrote:

Coming from the tropical lands of El Salvador my body just has never gotten used to the cold, which for me is in the 40s lol I just know that in the summer I tend to complain less.. no worries of my hands, feet getting cold, shivering, bones achin lol. Just give me a fan in the summertime and I'm a happy camper This morning my hands were soo cold (It was in the 40s today) and then I accidentally hit my fingers on a table and it hurt! I couldn't put gloves on because of a typing project I had. We have the heater on in the office but the vent is far from my desk and so my office is always colder and I suffer! LOL Can't wait for warmer temps to get here. At least where I'll be at tomorrow it will be in the 70s...

I hate having to wear layers of clothes to keep warm. I am much more comfortable in the spring and summer. If I get too hot there are ways I can cool off, such as jumping into a pool, which I enjoy. Plus, the older I get the worse I feel in the winter. I have arthritis and for the majority of winter I feel achy and stiff, and I just don't have any energy. In the warmer months I feel great and full of energy, so I'm sure that has a lot to do with it. I guess I was just meant to live in a warmer climate. Although I love Michigan too much to ever leave want to leave it, so I guess I'll just tolerate the winter months as always. It makes me appreciate the warmer months that much more anyway.

That's me---I love the four solid seasons. I actually enjoy winter for the most part, but I 'tolerate' it once we hit February/March...I'm kind of 'done' by then, LOL. My sister actually gets seasonal depression (which is what I think Carol would get here), and she bought a house that has tons of windows and natural light. I'm really not affected like that---I love my 'snuggly' nights in the house with a good fire in the fireplace. But I agree with you Pam, I do have more energy in the warmer months. Like you Teresa, I LOVE fall. I think for me, fall and spring are a tie. I absolutely love them both. BUT, that said, I could never give up winter and snow. “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”

Maybe I would... I don't know... I'd just know I'd miss the sun a lot and that time I actually experienced snow on the floor (it actually snowed in my town about 8 years ago) I liked it but wanted my roads dry and clean a few days later so I can't imagine dealing with it for months. I would love it if it just snowed in the yard and not the roads or anywhere where I'd have to do any shoveling, that'd be perfect! LOL Yesterday in Glendale, CA it was sunny and 72 degrees! Crazy! But it goes to show you how different the state is when it comes to weather! I remember that in southern cali, we didn't really experience the seasons, but here in the central valley we do... we don't see the snow on the ground but we feel the freezing cold lol and we get the view of snow capped Sierra Nevada Mountains telling us it's winter time lol. My favorite seasons here are Spring and Autumn, I LOVE them! In fact, when we lived in L.A. and my parents were trying to move us away from the city into calmer places, we came to the central valley in the spring when everything was blooming... and we saw more nature instead of buildings and they fell in love lol. Like someone else described it: Spring here is amazing, with miles of flowers, both the wild and the cultivated kinds. You will see vast expanses of vineyards, fruit and nut trees of all kinds and bright swaths of wild yellow, orange and red California poppies, the State flower, bordering our roads and highways in the loveliest and most colorful of adornments. You see the seasons change more here. Soon after, other family members followed. I love the beginning of summer but not when it gets too hot, but I deal with it (watch me complain when August comes, I do not like that month, it's the hottest lol) Anyway, when we were driving back up, passing the mountains, we felt the temperature drop! We had just left 72 sunny warm weather and here it's cloudy with 45 degrees! It felt nice feeling warm for a little while lol
