Pernell Roberts of Bonanza & Trapper John Dies

The AP reported the death of Pernell Roberts, the fourth Bonanza son and Trapper John M.D. He was the last surviving cast member of Bonanza and also died of cancer.

I saw that this morning on the news....hard to believe all the main cast members are now gone.

Did all of the cast members of Bonanza die of cancer?

Dan Blocker died May 13, 1972 in Los Angeles, California of pulmonary embolism.

Lorne Green died September 11, 1987 in Santa Monica, California of pneumonia following heart surgery.

Michael Landon died July 1, 1991 in Malibu, California of pancreatic cancer.

Pernell Roberts died January 25, 2010 in Malibu, California of cancer.

Here's something interesting I just read on Wiki about the actor who played Hop Sing on Bonanza:

Victor Sen Yung died under unusual circumstances in his townhouse in 1980. Reportedly, the actor was creating clayware and curing the items via an oven, and died of carbon monoxide poisoning. Pernell Roberts delivered the eulogy at his funeral.

I heard about this. How sad. What a good actor. He was very handsome on Bonanza!
