Melissa Sue on Today Show

According to the cable programming grid, Melissa Sue Anderson will be on the Today Show this morning, discussing her book "The Way I See It." She'll be on during the 10-11 AM hour, eastern time.

I hope this is true. I think there was one other time that I reported someone was going to be on the Today Show, and it turned out they weren't.

Someone else mentioned it to me, so I hope it's right. Wasn't overly impressed with the book, but would still be good to see her again.

She's about to come on after the next commercial break!

That was interesting! Melissa (I guess she's dropped the "Sue") looks good.

Sounds like Michael Landon had quite a vicious sense of humor, huh?

I was hoping they'd ask if she was still in touch with any of her castmates. I kind of doubt if she is, though. From what I've heard, she was a bit of an outsider.

While Matt was pleasant, I thought he picked out some tough parts in the book for her to address. She did mention more than once that Mike had a mean streak, and asking her if she was jealous of MG wasn't very nice.

As for her name, she spoke of that in the book. She never wanted the "Sue", but there was someone in the Guild who already had Melissa Anderson, so she had to add her middle name.

Yeah, I wasn't impressed with some of the questions that Matt asked her. It kind of went in a negative direction, and I was also hoping to hear her talk about any current relationships she may have with her castmates. It was still a nice interview, but I would have asked her about other, more humorous, aspects of ML. They kind of did that with Melissa Gilbert too. They asked her about ML's drinking on the set of LH.

The majority of the book is recaps of LHOP episodes, most of which I know by heart. I didn't come away feeling like I knew much more about MSA than when I started.

I will be seeing MA in Green Bay in July and I am going to try to fit that question in when I see her. I may only have a minute with her. She will be appearing with Dean Butler so at least this once she'll be with an old castmate.

Regardless if Matt's questions were fair, I think Melissa handled herself very well. She will tell her story the way she "saw it" . I'm really glad she chose to do this book.

I agrre Gin. She does handle herself well. She had a vision for this book, which might not have been what some wanted to see, but it's nice to hear her take on things.

Great clip. Thanks for posting. I thought Melissa spoke very well and she really hasn't changed much. Still beautiful.
