All I have to say is, I am glad Disney Pixar waited all these years to come out with this, and do it right. This was absolutely amazing----it is everything everyone is saying about it! I had heard to bring tissue, but didn't think I'd be THAT emotional over it! Let's just say I wanted to leave my 3D glasses on until we got out to the car. It definitely was very moving---loved it!

I'm glad to hear it, Amy! I love the Toy Story movies - my nieces and nephews all enjoyed them so much! And it's rare to find quality entertainment for kids anymore.....usually even the animated films have crass humor injected. I'm VERY glad to hear that TS3 lives up to the first two installments!

And I've never seen any of them.

Rob, you would definitely like the 'trilogy'....they incorporate some great adult humor throughout all of them---witty without being 'crass', as Savannah was saying. I know what you mean Savannah....sometimes it's hard to believe some of these 'made for children' movies are really made for children!

When those poor toys were facing the trash heap, I was really thinking of all the poor kids watching and what they must be feeling. I WAS FEELING BAD and I'm 44!! But the Aliens saved the day and it turned out to be a really wonderful movie. Can't wait to get the dvd.

I'm so glad you liked it! I'd hate to have you watch it and think, "WHOA, Savannah has no taste!"

Oh Marilyn, I know!!! I really loved that part though, how they all joined hands. SO beautiful.

SO glad you loved it Rob! Honestly, the first is my favorite. My mom hasn't seen any of them either---that is on my list of things to do with her. Although I love the second one too, I'd say the third beats the second. I love the Sarah McClachlan song in the second though, "When She Loved Me"....they played just a couple of bars in that in the third, at the end, and it was the thing that put me right over the edge!

Amy, I popped in Toy Story 2 a couple of months back to watch it with Oliveah, and when that song started playing, I had to leave the room.

I hear you Savannah.....it has a very 'haunting' feel to it---so moving!! I feel that way about many a Sarah M. song though. Love her!
Here it is----grab Kleenex!!

How about Sarah's ASPCA commercial, where they play "Angel" while showing all those forlorn dogs and cats?

A little sidenote about "When she loved me".....I have always thought about Laura and Jack when I hear that song. Makes me think of how sad Jack was when Laura no longer paid attention to him.

OHHH, let's not talk about that episode. I think it is the saddest of them all. I really hate watching it. Jack, as you can see by my avitar, is very special to me. I love him.

Oh, I hear ya Marilyn! That may be the very saddest episode for me as well. There is nothing worse than doggie death, except for a 'neglected' doggie's death.
(However, some will agree with me that the scene where Laura buries her head in Pa's naked chest is rather comforting. ).

Rhonda I wish I'd seen your post yesterday! It's been a while since I've watched Toy Story 3 and I would've liked to see it last night
