Subject: Prayers Needed for a Friend Tue Mar 13, 2007 12:24 pm

A family I have known since I was 13 was involved in a car accident last Sunday (3/11). In the car were the dad, his oldest boy (18) and another friend. This happened in the freeway around 9 pm. I am not too sure on exactly how the accident happened but a big truck hit them causing them to flip over. The boy I guess was thrown out of the car but was okay. The dad and his friend were still inside the car, the friend was okay but the dad had a lot of glass from the winshield on his stomach and also had a hole in his head. He still managed to get up and look for his son… his son did the same until they met on the road. Blue

The guy that hit them took off! I am so upset at the driver that hit them… how can you just drive off when you hit a car and you see it flip over?? mad

The dad was taken to the hospital… he got surgery last night to cover the hole in his head. He came out of the surgery okay, thank God. He will need to have another surgery in 8 days. Please pray that he stays stable and that the next surgery goes well too.

He is in a hospital that is an hour away from his home so it is hard on the family and friends to visit as much as we would like to, but we do what we can.

Please pray for my friends.

Prayers for your friends are being said Carol. I hope there were witnesses to the accident so the hit and run driver gets found.

Oh Carol! I'm so sorry about your friends. They have my prayers. I can sure empathize about the travel back and forth to the hospital. It's very draining. You'll be in my prayers, too. I hope that the driver who caused the accident is absolutely haunted until s/he feels compelled to go to the police and confess. {{{Carol}}}

How scary! I will keep them in my prayers. How could anyone be so cold to not stop and make sure they were okay after hitting them? :(

I can never understand how someone can just drive off after causing so much devastation. mad

Don't these people possess a conscience?

I just said one for them all.

I'm glad things weren't any worse for them, and I prayed that the person responsible for the wreck will be caught and punished.

Carol, I'm so sorry to hear about this accident!! Thankfully no one was killed and it never ceases to amaze me that people will actually drive off from the scene of an accident. Please keep us posted on how this family is doing.

Thanks everyone. We are all pitching in to help the family. It will be a long while before he heals. His wife was telling me that he has a lot of pieces of glass inside the hole his head. Blue
