My compture keeps poping up saying my windowa IP number has aConflict with another pc/how do i fix that? (could it be with my dads pc.but we would share the same number?)

If you go into your router and refresh/restart it, that should take care of it. The same thing happened to me early this spring.

ok thank you..So on my router i just press that butten..Should i turn off my pc first before i do this?

There should be a button on the back of the router like Sav said. If not, unplug it, wait about 30 seconds, and plug it back in. That might do it. You have to give it time for all the lights to come back on though.

If that isn't it, and you live in town, somebody could be "piggybacking" your router, meaning they're stealing your connection. I can pull up three neighbors on mine, but they're not stealing, it just shows their network.

Oh, and you might wanna do a restart afterwards, though I don't think it's necessary. All else fails, call your provider or router manufacturer. I've got Netgear and it works well, but Linksys has caused me a few problems in the past. But they DO have a reset button, you just need something like a pen cap to hit it.

Computers. Pffftt. If it weren't for the friends I've made I'd chuck it in the recycle bin. lol

thanks! I just unplugged mine and plugged it back in..That did the trick. LOL. YAY!!



OMG.people actreal steal people's internet connections..jeeze...*How rude* lol......I have Linksys.It's the only one that would work with the compture's.

Glad you got you router working.

Linksys is good, it just didn't work well will my ISP.
