| I got 1 more library book to read. The book is called:
Dear America
Christmas After All (The Great Depression Diary of Minnie Swift)
By Kathryn Lasky
Then, I can go back to my own books. That, was being hold for so long. Since, I was taking library books out. I still haven't read books, that I bought at garage sale, thrift store, or book sale.

| I just finished reading Nectar in a Sieve for my lit class in high school. It was a sad book, but worth the read; it was all about the acceptance of suffering that is present in the Hindu religion. I remember the time I knew what happiness was...let the memory live again. | |

- That sounds like an interesting book! It would be fun to "watch" a new episode of TAGS.
The funny thing is, no one can seem to remember why they didn't film that ep. Andy is quoted as saying that he loved it, but they they just never used it "for some reason." The author theorizes that it might be because this show kind of goes against the normal formula. In this one, Andy himself brings about the conflict when he tries to get the wandering minstrel guy to settle down in Mayberry. Normally it's others who cause the conflict, and Andy has to make things right.

- I have a book that has a synopsis of every episode of the old Zorro series starring Guy Williams - but that only ran for about 80 episodes. The book you have must be pretty thick!
Actually, it's not. Each synopsis is only a paragraph or two, so that section doesn't take up all that much room.
I loved watching that Zorro show when I was a kid. Guy Williams was one of my heroes. He was also on Lost in Space, another of my childhood favorites.

- One of the episodes that they used was A Date for Gomer, and how he saw beyond Mary Grace's physical appearance, and enjoyed her company for who she was. That is one of my favorite Gomer episodes. He's just so sweet and considerate. I always wished that they'd have brought Mary Grace back for more episodes. But I'm rambling now...........:shy:[/color]
That's probably my favorite Gomer episode too. I love it when Gomer runs out right after he meets Mary Grace, and they all think it's because of the way she looks. But it turns out he just went to buy her a corsage (or should I say "cor-sage"), because he saw the other girls had them and he wanted her to have one, too.
And of course it's an especially funny ep because we get to see Gomer dancing. They really should put Jim Nabors on Dancing With the Stars. :thankyou: I'd so like to read that, is it this book? http://www.amazon.com/The-Andy-Griffith-Show-Book/dp/0312661770/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1333192729&sr=8-1 - MissYoungClassic wrote:

| My MIL loaned me this book on Kindle
On the Island by Tracey Garvis Graves
Anna Emerson is a thirty-year-old English teacher desperately in need of adventure. Worn down by the cold Chicago winters and a relationship that’s going nowhere, she jumps at the chance to spend the summer on a tropical island tutoring sixteen-year-old T.J.
T.J. Callahan has no desire to go anywhere. His cancer is in remission and he wants to get back to his normal life. But his parents are insisting he spend the summer in the Maldives catching up on all the school he missed last year.
Anna and T.J. board a private plane headed to the Callahan’s summer home, and as they fly over the Maldives’ twelve hundred islands, the unthinkable happens. Their plane crashes in shark-infested waters. They make it to shore, but soon discover that they’re stranded on an uninhabited island.
I really enjoyed it | |

| "Anarchy Evolution - Faith, Science, and Bad Religion In A World Without God" by Greg Graffin (2010)
Facinating book on why Evolution can no longer be called a 'theory'. The author, Greg Graffin, PhD, is a professor AND the lead singer for the 30+ year old band Bad Religion. He blends his stories effortlessly between teaching at UCLA and maintaining the group over 3 decades. "Willie, were you or were you not looking at the corsett ads in the catalogue?" - Nels

| It really was Gin, it was one of those books you sit down & read in a day because you just want to know what happens. It was 99 cents for a long time & always high on the list of Amazon sellers, so Penguin bought it from the author & now it's $8. | |
