Prayers for a friend

We just found out that the drummer of the band Tim is in fell down his basement stairs. All we know at this point is that he couldn't feel his legs. We don't know if that is why he fell (something neurological like a stroke), or if he injured himself during the fall and that is why he can't feel his legs. Either way, it sounds pretty serious at this point. His name is Jeff, and is one of the nicest, most genuine people I have ever met. Please keep Jeff and his family in your prayers. Thank you so much.

The latest we've heard is that Jeff has a herniated disk and is having surgery tomorrow. He is starting to have some feeling in his legs, so that sounds like a good sign. Please continue to keep him in your prayers for his surgery in the morning. Thanks so much.

I guess the doctor said that most people with Jeff's type of injury end up paralyzed, so it is very good that he is having feeling and movement in his legs. I'm hoping the surgery goes well.

I'm sorry I didn't have a chance to update, he ended up having his surgery late in the day yesterday. The surgery went well! The recovery process is long, they say around 2-8 months, so he will need continued prayers during his recovery. He certainly seems to have a positive attitude though. He posted on Facebook that he was doing some leg exercises (this was after surgery) and he basically said, "6 months recovery, my butt." And, he wants his drumsticks. It sounds like he's doing well. I'm hoping to be able to go and visit him this weekend. He may actually be able to go home on Sunday!
