Here's one, Jacob. I'm pretty sure I have a couple more recipes that might be what you're looking for, though:These cookies are great to make with kids because you can try so many
variations of flavor from one batch of chocolate mix. The base recipe is
very simple, and playing with ingredient substitution is easy, since
the cookies require no baking. Be creative with
your coatings, and make a colorful array of tasty balls!
Basic Chocolate Balls
1 stick butter, softened
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups oats
3 tbsp unsweetened dark cocoa powder
Coating: Pearl sugar, colored sugar, coconut flakes, sprinkles, mild sea salt, crushed nuts, etc.
Cream the butter, sugar, and vanilla. Add the oats, chocolate, and blend until fully uniform. Prepare bowls of your chosen
coatings. Take a small amount of chocolate mixture and roll it in your
hands to form a ball about the size of a gumball. Roll it in one of the
coatings, covering the entire surface. Place the ball on a plate and
continue until all of the chocolate mixture is used up.
Some ingredient substitutions follow:
Instead of dark brown sugar, try powdered sugar for a smoother texture. White sugar will also work fine.
