| Does anyone know if Father Murphy is on dvd? This features Merlin Olson ( Jonathan Garvey-LH) and Katherine Cannon (Dean Butler's wife) . I recently watched Red Fury with Katherine and saw what a great actress she is. I would love to have Father Murphy to add to my already large collection..lol. | Both seasons are available at Amazon, but it looks like they won't be available for long. They are available through some of their sellers, but not a direct ship from Amazon any longer. | |

| Yeah, the show got canceled after that. Having Father Murphy get married kind of ruined it for everyone. | |

| It will be hard to see Merlin as anything but Jonathan Garvey, but he was such a great actor. With cable/ satelite tv as it is now, I'm on the hunt for family programming anyway I can get it. | I agree. He'll always be Jonathan to me. I think if they had spun him off into a series where he was Garvey, that might have been easier. | |

| I just finished watching both seasons and enjoyed them. The plots are a bit ludicrous from time to time, but no more so than some of the LHotP plots. I'm not sure why John's marrying would have ruined the show... My favorite episode is the one with Philbert! I also really enjoyed "The Matchmakers". The scene where Eli, Matt, and Ephram fill out the form is hilarious! I think I'll start telling people my age is over twenty but under sixty. | |

| No I haven't Jacob. I was hoping to find it somewhere locally, but I probably will have to order it. I need to get that on my hunt list. Thanks for the reminder. | huh That's interesting. I didn't recognize Kelly Martin, though it is understandable as she was a little girl! I've only ever seen her in Christy.
Gin, have you tried your library's interloan system? A friend let me borrow the first season and then the second season I was able to get through the interloan system.

| Karissa...I haven't tried that. I'm such a sucker tho for shows like this that I know I would like it enough to buy it. It doesn't take much to make me happy. lol
Cheryl...that is as good a reason as any to buy it. We've lost so much talent, I'm ready to see someone like Michael Landon come up and do what he did....if thats possible. TV is in the doghouse right now. It is the lack of Christianity that has brought us where we are. Not a lack of churches or religious forms but of the real thing in our hearts. | this is an old thread, glad that I didn't start a new one. I have been watching Father Murphy on youTube for the past few weeks and today my Season 1 arrived!! I get to start over, Youtube isn't very clear. Season 2 is no longer available for a reasonable price. I'm heartbroken. If anyone has season 2 and cares to sell it, let me know. I'm interested!
