| You poor thing Vanesa! We will go swimming together, and you and Jack can be my escort to the outhouse. It is the lack of Christianity that has brought us where we are. Not a lack of churches or religious forms but of the real thing in our hearts. LIW.....Words From a Fearless Heart | |

Did you know? Hollyhocks were often planted next to outhouses long ago. Why, you ask? So that in the event visitors came calling, a lady need not announce in front of everyone her need to use the privy. As the hollyhocks were next to the outhouse, one merely asked where the hollyhocks were, and when pointed in the direction, did not need to reveal if she were going to admire the hollyhocks or do something else while there.
Thanks for the Hollyhocks Joe That is very interesting! I never knew that! (What a beautiful flower, too!) | |

| I never heard of that either. Interesting! There must've been some interesting scenes. "I just drank a gallon of tea! In the name of all that's holy, where are the hollyhocks??" | |

| I've had quite enough of this tomfoolery. One more outburst and I have half a mind to shutter the outhouse for a spell. You people should be ashamed of yourselves. Please treat this outhouse thread with the respect it desi........I'm sorry, I couldn't finish that with a straight face. Dave, would you like to tell the story of this picture, please kind sir? Fairly simple: When Michael left Bonanza after it was cancelled, he had the privy removed from the Bonanza set and installed in his home, with all the modern plumbing of course. Guess it was near to his heart. We ALL know he had a THING about outhouse humor, so I guess he just couldn't leave it BEHIND! | |

| Little House Forum, we have a problem. Someone stole the computer from the Outhouse. I'm not pointing fingers or naming names but seriously, people, the Outhouse is for everyone. Consider others. If you took it, just put it back, no harm no foul. (On a side note, the Outhouse is now wired with cable and has the full NFL package for you football fans.) | I wouldn't set foot in it without DIRECTV! Put a sattelite on top of that thing! "Albert, do you REALLY think you are old enough to know what love is?" "I must be Pa. I love you, I have for a long time." | |

| I'm trying to keep a nice olde timey rustic feel and you wanna ruin it by putting one of those unsightly things on top of the Outhouse?!? (Just installed a seat warmer for those upcoming chilly mornings.) "Willie, were you or were you not looking at the corsett ads in the catalogue?" - Nels | |

| Stick the sattelite in a mesquite tree and run a line to it! That will preserve that "Homey" look! I like the seat warmer idea! "Albert, do you REALLY think you are old enough to know what love is?" "I must be Pa. I love you, I have for a long time." | |
