Brazil school shooting: Rio de Janeiro gunman kills 12

A gunman has shot dead at least 12 children at a school in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro before killing himself, police say.

Thursday's massacre of 11 students at a Brazilian school could have been even worse, were it not for the heroic actions of a military policeman, according to a statement from the Rio de Janeiro state governor's office.

How awful. Why do they always seem to kill themselves after doing something like this?
