Every year just before Mothers' Day, our newspaper prints letters from local kids to, or about, their moms. These are probably from kindergarten age through 2nd or 3rd grade. Here are some of my favorites this year:
I will take my Mom to Kmart and buy her a new pair of gold earrings. -Lucia
You've been there for me, you've gave me a lot of love and it's all free. It's time to get equal. I'm older now and I'm there for you and I'm giving it back to you for free.-Jacob
Mom, I will take you to Family Video. We've had some good times. -Robert Brinker IV
I will take my mom to the grocery store to get a ring with a diamond on it. -Lily
You make my day. There is a reason for everything. I love you. -Emily
Mom, your bacon is the best in the world, and your chicken, but the best thing is your love. -Eric
I love you, Mom. You are the bomb. You are the best. But you need some rest. -Tyler
I would give up my life for you. -Libby
When I grow up I will give you all that you ever wanted. If you want a fancy house, come and ask me. Or if you want a fancy new car. Your wish will come true. Anything you ever wanted. But for now I will give you a hug and a flower. -Michelle
I will take you to Dairy Queen (but I won't pay). -Nick
My mom is the color of yellow. She smells lie syrup coming fresly from a tree. She sounds like bees buzzing by as fast as they can. She feels like a golden retriever's soft hair. She tastes like a sunflower smells. She looks like a truck's new light bulb. -Justin
I will take my mom to the beach and go swimming. P.S.: That math stuff you gave me, I'm getting the hang of it. -Drew
I hope you live forever. -Leslie
