Since my dad retired last year, he's been looking for something to keep him busy, so he just started delivering meals last week for Meals on Wheels. For anyone not familiar, it's a program that delivers a hot meal to the elderly or shut-ins.
Anyhow, he got his list of people to deliver to last week and he had recognized a name on there. It was one of his aunt's, who he hadn't seen in years. So, he made sure he delivered to that person last, because it case it was his aunt, he knew he'd like to talk to her for a bit. Sure enough, it was his aunt. He didn't even know she was living so close. It turns out that she lives within walking distance from me, which is pretty cool. Se, she is part of his regular route and I'm sure they are looking forward to getting reaquainted with eachother again.
I love when things like this happen.
