| I wish, I wish. Though I'm thinking the year is 2011, not 2001. | |

| Sounds so fun. Wish I could just take off and go. I would if I was even as close as Arkansas. Maybe someday... It is the lack of Christianity that has brought us where we are. Not a lack of churches or religious forms but of the real thing in our hearts. LIW.....Words From a Fearless Heart | |

| I saw this pagent when I was in Mansfield with the Divas in 2009. It was really good. I highly recommend it to anyone in the area to go and watch. I was fortunate to see 2 other pagents this summer after Laurapalooza. My Diva friends and I saw the pagent in Walnut Grove on one night and then the next night we saw the one in De Smet. They were both wonderfully done. In De Smet the pagents change from year to year, there were 5 books written about DS. This year the pagent was The Long Winter. | |

| MANSFIELD, Mo -- If you're a fan of the "Little House On The Prairie" book or TV series, you can step into that world this weekend.
Mansfield will be honored with a special guest at the 2012 Wilder Festival September 15.
Charlotte Stewart, who played Miss Beadle the school teacher in the "Little House on the Prarire" TV series, is scheduled to participate in the annual event, signing autographs at the Wilder Home, serving as grand marshal of the parade, and possibly making an appearance at the "Laura's Memories" outdoor pageant.
Miss Beadle was a school teacher at the Walnut Grove School, and was the first teacher that Mary and Laura Ingalls had.
The festival is held on Saturday and includes a wide variety of music, dancing and entertainment, games, good food, arts and crafts booths, contests and parades.
Since the festival is modeled after a less civilized time, you are sure to meet some interesting personalities as you stroll through our town square. You might meet up with Abraham Lincoln or Theodore Roosevelt. Craft booths line the square offering plenty of hand crafted items you can buy. You can bring your lawn chairs and sit in the shade of a tree in the city square, enjoy a good cold sasparilla and listen to the music.
"Albert, do you REALLY think you are old enough to know what love is?" "I must be Pa. I love you, I have for a long time."

| I'll have to remember this for next year as I'd definitely love to foray into MO. I'm presuming it's generally held in September? If so, then awesome! My Setembers are much less hectic than my Julys. :) | |

| Great interview but she said that Laura lived until age 93. Laura only lived to age 90 plus 3 days. | |

| Wilder Day – Sept 22nd & 23rd Mansfield, Missouri, commemorates Laura Ingalls Wilder. Join us on Sept 22 & 23 for our annual celebration commemorating Laura Ingalls Wilder, America’s favorite pioneer girl, and her cherished “Little House” books. Hear Pa’s fiddle, take a tour of the home, and enjoy the grounds of Rocky Ridge Farm. We hope to see you here! We will have our 8th Annual Fiddle Off on this day as well. This has become an exciting and entertaining event. Please come out and enjoy the festivities. I went to the library today and set up my dolls and memorabilia from my Little House on the Prairie Collection. While I was setting them up, a young boy and his grandmother were admiring the dolls...Perhaps a new generation of LH fans will come from this...he DOES know the NBC show stories...now, to learn about the real Laura...The librarian would like for me to come down one day in September to speak to those interested in Little House and Laura Ingalls Wilder. I will need to think about this and talk myself into doing it. I'm not great with being in front of crowds, and afraid my knees will buckle!
Their new home for the next month! The librarian took some pics of me standing near the glass case, and when she sends them to me, I will post them here as well.CANCER FREE!!! April 9, 1998-April 9, 2025-I AM A SURVIVOR!!!
