I'm SO glad to hear that things went well! She's been in my prayers!

(And, Fife! You brute. Things were going so smootly, too. )

Thanks, everyone. She still is not always getting her locker open on the first try, and she missed writing done part of an Algebra II assignment, but other than that it is going pretty well.

Well; everyone has problems in school life....But all of us have let them behind and succeded (or at least, I hope so... ). Keep praying for Erin.

I just got a call from the neurologist. We need to up Erin's medication again. It seems we have been upping her medication every few months since last spring. She's had two EEGs in the past couple of months. They said this last one was better than the previous, but we need another increase. She won't be happy to hear this since she was taking 8 pills a day, now 9. So please pray that this dosage will work or that they'll find a medication that will so she doesn't have to take so many pills.

Praying for Erin and hoping they will be able to start cutting back on the meds....

Oh, how frustrating. I'll be praying for her, Lori.

I'd appreciate prayers for Erin today.  She is starting her first job today, and she seemed pretty nervous this morning.  She and Kara are working at the same place for the summer, but they probably won't see each other much.  I know she wants to do a good job, but not knowing exactly what she will be doing today is causing some anxiety.

Erin is in my prayers. How did her first day go?

How did it go, Lori? I'll keep Erin in my prayers...I definitely remember the anxiety of my first job!!

It went really well. Her team leader told her she was doing a good job. She is working at an amusement park, and she had one cranky lady who called her dumb and slow which rattled her some. So she decided to switch rides when given the option because of it. So she was then running two kiddie rides. Those rides have some paper work that needs to be filled out, and Kara (who is a roving team leader) checked it before they left. Kara said Erin had done it perfectly, which apparently rarely ever happens. I told Erin she shouldn't let that woman's comments bother her since there will always be people like that no matter what job you are doing. I also told her that her leader would have told her if she wasn't going fast enough and to keep working that ride to get more confident at it. She did work it again yesterday, and she enjoyed it. She has worked 4 rides now, 3 of which she runs by herself. I'm so proud of the job she's done so far. I think her confidence level will be way up by the end of the summer.

That's GREAT to hear, Lori! And shame on that woman who was so rude to Erin. Life is too short to get angry over something so trivial. And I think you're right - I believe you'll see a whole new level of confidence in Erin by the end of summer!

She has a much needed day off today after working open to close 4 days straight, the last two with no break. She's now worked all 5 rides in her group of rides.

Wow, I can't believe some people.   But you're right---she's going to encounter that in any job she does, working with the general public. This is going to be a great experience for her. Just curious, is this Michigan Adventure? That's our favorite---we try to get there every summer!
