The Halloween Dream

Laura and Albert are excited about dressing up for Nellie's halloween party. But Caroline won't let them go without a nap first.After falling asleep with a book in his hands, Albert slips into quite into an intense dream.


I love this episode ... Really exciting...

This one is the worst episode even written for Little House on the Prairie, and I think I wouldn't watch it again even if I should be forced to it with a gun applied to my head.

Why don't you like it Vanesa? I think it's interesting!

I'm watching this one right now on Hallmark. I don't really like it that much. I think it seems boring. It also does not really have anything to do with Halloween. I think it would have been funnier if they had the Indians being played by people from Walnut Grove or something like that.

For a Halloween episode, the one where Laura and Carl think Mr. Oleson killed Mrs. Oleson is much better, in my opinion!

This was the most boring esp. I don't like it.

Just finished watching this one. I'll agree with others in not liking this epi and add it may be the single worst epi in the entire run of the show. Beyond not having anything to do with Halloween, it's horribly racially insensitive. The sterotypical monosyllabic Indian-speak is a bit off-putting. An episode like this today would draw harsh criticism and probably never be aired.

Wow, I came here to post my review of the episode and was surprised to see all of the dislike for this one. I thought it was a lot of fun... Albert dreams a wild dream while he and Laura nap before they go to Nellie's Halloween party. It was pretty tense throughout. I love the part towards the end the most, when Laura and Albert run for the wagon with the guns and take off on it.... and how Albert is still tied up as they speed off. Then Laura has an idea to slow down the Indians and hands Albert the rains without even untying him first! Albert faints, and Laura doesn't even know so she is still in the back talking to him. Then when it is all over I love when they are riding off to Nellie's party for real this time and they see three more "Indians" coming towards them. Laura says that she was sure they would have been the only Indians, just like she did in Albert's dream.... then Albert turns his horse and takes off!
