This is great! (a little creepy, but great) I would rather do homemade costumes than the store bought ones. I NEVER bought costumes for my boys.....if they wanted a mask, we'd get it and build around it....I remember Jake being in thermal underwear and me wrapping him with strips of white cloth to make him into a mummy.....it was GREAT!

Ah, I bet that's it. And the girl at lower right looks like a millkmaid... though I don't get the face covering. I bet some of these costumes had to do with stories that were popular at the time.

At Halloween, my sister displays a neat picture of my great grandma at a costume party in the early 1900's and it's pretty cool. I've been meaning to get a copy of it and if I do, I'll post it here. Thumbsup
