Quote of the Day Thumbsup

"I don't want to get to the end of my life and find that I have just lived the length of it. I want to have lived the width of it as well."
– Diane Ackerman

About Diane Ackerman

American poet and nonfiction author Diane Ackerman has written more than 20 books and is best known for the eloquently written best seller The Natural History of the Senses. She was born in Illinois in 1948. While working toward her Ph.D. at Cornell, she studied both arts and sciences, feeling "the universe wasn't knowable from only one perspective." She has a molecule named after her: the dianeacerkone. She lives in upstate New York with her novelist husband.

Quote of the Day

"You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face." Thumbsup
– Eleanor Roosevelt

About Eleanor Roosevelt
Eleanor Roosevelt, wife of president Franklin Delano Roosevelt, was a powerful political figure in her own right, crusading tirelessly for humanist causes. She was born in New York in 1884 and was orphaned young. After Franklin was struck by polio, she acted as his eyes and ears. She was central to the creation of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which she considered her crowning achievement, and wrote numerous essays, including a long-running column called "My Day." She died in 1962.

So true...looking fear in the face is hard, but we MUST do it time to time. If not we don't grasp what life really is. Thumbsup

Vanesa.

You've got to take the good with the bad, smile with the sad, love what you've got, and remember what you had. Always forgive, but never forget. Learn from mistakes, but never regret.

“Tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it... Yet.” ― L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables

Never walk away from someone when you see some faults. Have patience and realize that nobody is perfect. It's the affection that matters, not the perfection.

Ppl say you don't know what you've got till it's gone.. but the truth is- you knew what you had you just never thought you'd lose it.
