| I laugh every time I see Harriet barge into Nellie and Luke's hotel room and she tells Nel's "Make her a widow!" and then tries to shoot him...he is so funny running out in his drawers. | |

| Saw this again tonight...loved how Nellie became more like a regular young woman instead of her normal personality.which could be unbearable. Love, both times, made her more lovable. : ) Harriet is always funny...her talks with Nellie still make me laugh, even the 50th time. I liked Adam and wish they got to show them more often. | |

| I liked Willie's answer after Mrs.Oleson told Willie to tell Nellie supper is ready and he says she's not there and mentioned that Nellie and Luke rode off in their buckford or whatever it's called a couple hours ago and she had her suitcaseand Nels asked why he didn't say anything and Willie said because no one asked and Harriet saying Nels, get the shot gun. | |

| I wander if Nellie ever told Percival she married before. Luke took off quick after Harriett told Nels to make Nellie a widow. | |

| Anytime Harriet got a shotgun in her hands it was hysterical! She did the same thing at Lake Kezia when she shot at the monster. Priceless!! "Albert, do you REALLY think you are old enough to know what love is?" "I must be Pa. I love you, I have for a long time." | |

| I think most people appreciated Nels and Harriet, they really were funny, all the scenes with Nelle's "beaus" were hysterical and that corset scene when she comes flying out of the kitchen half dressed was priceless. I loved "Lenny" from the old Law and Order and one fan made a page of "Lenny lines" he had so many one-liners. Someone could do that with Nels and Harriet.
Whoever cast them, got it right.

| I like this episode I just watched it again tonight. I think Its so funny and one of the best Nellie episodes! And I think it shows the nice side of Nellie. “It was a huge shock when it came and very excited“ This was the duchess of cambridges take on how she felt when William proposed during their official engagement interview with ITN reporter Tom Bradby. There was a real giggle at the end. Cute. | |

| It's what LHOP did best. I have to watch that again soon. It even had my teen "not that interested in LHOP" girls laughing out loud last year. I sent them a youtube of it. : ) | |

| when I saw this episode for the first time I couldn't believe someone was actually falling in love with Nellie! I could be wrong, but before this episode I don't remember Nellie being nice to anyone like she was to her 'husband' in this episode. Harriet didn't like Luke, and prevented Nellie from staying married to him, but imagine if she hadn't caught up to them and they had stayed married, at least for a bit longer. Luke could have had the 'nice' effect on Nellie like Percival eventually had! I wish we had seen Luke character at least once more after this episode, I think he was mentioned a couple of times but we never actually saw him again | |

| That scene at the dinner table remains one of the funniest in Little House history; to me anyway, not to mention the shotgun scene......hilarious!!!!! "Albert, do you REALLY think you are old enough to know what love is?" "I must be Pa. I love you, I have for a long time." | |

| My favorites too...."Make her a widow"...priceless and her falling on the table. They didn't have enough of those scenes...Nels and Harriet could be very funny. | |

| This is still one of my favorite Little House episodes to watch. Once again, poor Nels didn't seem to think too much of the situation (even though his young daughter had just run away to get married) but Harriet made the situation into a very big deal. | |

| This is a funny episode. I like the part, when Harriet tells Nels, "Make our daughter a widow." She shoots the ceiling. Luke runs off, in his drawers. Was Nellie 14 or 15 years old? Has there been a tv show, where a married couple was a teenager? (Like back in Victorian time.) | |

| This episode is hilarious. Harriet is so funny! But I actually wish that Nellie and Luke had stayed married, or else that they had not ever reached the point where they went through with the vows. I was thinking that the Olesons and Adam and Eva might have arrived just as the wedding was about to take place. Since they went through with the vows, I feel like they are actually married, regardless of the justice of the peace tearing up their marriage certificate.
I think Nels might not have minded having Luke for a son-in-law, especially because Luke did seem to have a good effect on Nellie.
But what I don't understand is why Nellie just fell so hard in love with Luke immediately? It seems like in any other case, she would have turned her nose up at someone like him.
I'm glad though for Miss Beadle to have married Adam Simms. As she said, he has a lot of good qualities. And he seems like he also may want to have some more education, so perhaps she will even have opportunity to teach him some of the book learning that he apparently missed out on in his life, if he is interested. And I guess he can teach her about hog farming!!
