A nephew of mr olesons comes for a visit to learn some morals.Mr olsen sending him to mr. ingalls. He helps with work.He changes his behaver. His dad ends up changing too.

I think this was a very good esp. It teaches us that when you have kids that you really need to make sure give them lots of love and attention.

There are two bloopers in this episode. The first is that Peter calls Nels and Harriet, Uncle and Aunt. Since the boy's father is Nels's cousin, the boy would also be his cousin, not his nephew.

At a little more than 35 minutes into the episode (the night before Peter's father comes to pick him up), Caroline and Charles are outside talking. He is going to miss Peter and he hopes the boy has a better life. Caroline tells him he did all he could and it would be out of his hands after tomorrow. He nods and says, "Let me buy you a cup of coffee." Then they walk into the house. It doesn't sound like let's get a cup of coffee, but I guess it might be. Let me know what you think.

@ Beth. Been long time, since I seen that one. I'll rewatch it sometime with caption on it. To see, if it says: "Let me buy you a cup of coffee." When should say: Let's get a cup of coffee.

"Let me buy you a cup of coffee" wouldn't be considered a blooper. Its a common term of slang that was used many times and still is. Its simply another term for "Would you like a cup of coffee?"

That's what I was thinking too...I have had many older gentlemen say that to me when they were offering me coffee at their home or a function.

The stranger 440956 Yep. I remember hearing that a lot from some of the old-timers at my church. I always loved hearing them joke around with one another.

I really like this episode. The transformation of little Peter is amazing. Glad the father comes around too. I just don't like the title. The Stranger sounds like a creepy, mysterious man coming through town. This is a little boy who needs love from his father.

Does anyone else love the grin Michael Landon gives when someone does something cute? I just love it!

There were some great grins in that episode........! I always thought the Father was a Stranger to his son, thus might be the reason for the title.....

This episode was great! There were a ton of funny scenes between Nels and Harriet! I love how Charles always has a way of having someone who had been causing trouble stay with and work for him, while teaching that person a good life lesson. This episode reminded me a bit of the episode "Angry Heart" from season 6. I loved the ending the best when Peter was changing for the better and his dad came to get him... Peter wants to show his dad that he can swim, and his dad tells Charles that he didn't know that his son couldn't swim. Then Charles tells him that I thinks there are a lot of things he doesn't know about his son. The part when Peter and his dad hug each other in the barn loft was wonderful!

I also really liked the scene where he comes into the house and Peter's grandma tells his dad that they need to leave in order to catch the train.... Then Peter's dad announces that they are going to stay for a little while and he and Peter are going to go swimming. I loved when his grandma reminds him he has a meeting that he will miss.... and his dad says that he and Peter can't make it! Then everyone starts laughing! I always love Charles laugh! laugh3
