Aw thanks for the link Susie but I already watched Dreamgirls last night! My dad rented it. It was soooo good! I highly recommend it.

I'll be purchasing "The Princess and the Frog" in a couple of weeks.

I want that just because you said it was so great Teresa!


Wow, we sure don't have to wait very long these days, huh?! I can hardly believe Precious and "Up in the Air" are out already next week! I want to see both of those. I would never have survived watching Precious in a theater---I would have been a sobbing mess. But I do want to see it, in the privacy of my own home. With a box of kleenex.

Not yet....I see that it's out now. I think I'm going to have to get in the right 'frame of mind' to rent it, you know?

I think that this would be a very difficult movie to watch. I know that my husband wouldn't want to see it, so I'd be sitting there watching it alone, probably covering my eyes with all of the physical abuse scenes. It would be very emotional to watch.

Yeah, I've had like 3 opportunities to get it from Red Box... but I don't at the last minute because I think I don't want to see something so sad yet... lol

I love 'angst', but this is just a whole other 'realm' of angst that I may not be able to handle---I hate anything to do with child abuse. It helps me to be able to say in some movies, "It's just a movie". But in this case, all I hear is how 'real' it is and how it is such a comment on our society. By the same token, I really feel like I want to see Monique's performance and Gabby's too. I can't even imagine, Gabby sitting there in that Oscar audience, having her name called out as best actress, by Oprah Winfrey. What an achievement! She had tears rolling down her cheeks as Oprah was speaking about her, and it had to be the most powerful moment of her life.
