| When this first aired I wasn't too sure it was really LH. I saw the first couple of shots of a truck (at the auction) and turned the channel looking for LH. Finally realized they were talking about the future. This was a good episode. Makes you really think about all the material things we have and how what we have is only stuff. Our children and family is our true legacy.
I loved watching Pa throw that ax....hubba hubba! It is the lack of Christianity that has brought us where we are. Not a lack of churches or religious forms but of the real thing in our hearts. LIW.....Words From a Fearless Heart

I loved watching Pa throw that ax....hubba hubba! I agree soo much with you. I didn't get that but sometimes i wounder if ppl back then would think now of how the worlds changed, “Tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it... Yet.” ― L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables

| I really really liked this one and loved how they came into modern times. “I am beginning to learn that it is the sweet, simple things of life which are the real ones after all.” ― Laura Ingalls Wilder | |

| Charles did make beautiful furniture, but rarely for HIS family. : ) He's made tables, hutches, chairs, wheels, and I think a rocking horse for the kids, although you don't see it again. I wish he kept one to give his family, that would have been nice. I liked how he was sad but realistic about the progress of the factories, etc. It will never replace handmade items in quality but it was something you couldn't stop.

| I love this episode. I like it that Albert told that lazy Mr.Cooper he was fired. I don't like it that Charles' design was stolen. | |

I was just going to come in here and mention that! This is one of my favorite 'Albert' moments for sure. I love the way he told that guy 'Cooper' off! So cute... Special mention to Cassandra here...one of her few funny moments...when that guy Cooper suggested that he, James & Cassandra could be related...and Cassandra says "I don't think so." The way she said it and the look on her face was priceless!

| Cassandra was super cute, that's for sure. I love Albert, he's really was a good character for the later seasons. | |

| I hated that too. I think Season 9 (aka, "A New Beginning") was LH's WORST season, and not just because The Ingalls' were gone! Ironically, I only like 3 episodes that whole season: "Home Again" (no surprise there) "The Return of Nellie," and "May I Have this Dance?" where Willie marries Rachel. I thought that episode was sweet...and I love the way Willie stood up to Harriet! I always cheer after I see that...LOL Back to "The Legacy," I love that scene with Pa, Albert & James too. They were so happy not to have to leave Walnut Grove...but then, shortly after, they end up leaving anyway. | |

| I am watching this now and I think they made Mrs. Prescott leave too soon, he took 3 days to make the headstone and she had left and sold the house (well her kids did) They should have made the time longer, no one moves that fast! She could have at least seen the grave. I did love that actor, I'm glad they brought him back to play the policeman (or shop owner?) in the episode where Albert is stealing. It was very moving, his death and message and the one Charles learns at the end. | |
