I guess gas prices can be a distraction as your driving by looking at the sign saying to yourself, "What?? They went up again? That much!?!?!" BOOM!

Its about $3.49 here. Got a feeling we aren't going too far this summer.

I need to get a smaller vehicle now that I'm not keeping kids, but heck this one is paid for! With a kid in college I'm stuck with it for a little while. Besides, the van comes in handy hauling Nathan to and from college.

Lawn mower has died so I guess when we hit the rodeo this year we need to think about not only a horse for getting around but a goat to take care of the yard. Might be a bit cheaper. AGH!

I was in Colorado a week and a half ago and was shocked to see gas just under three dollars! The cheapest I saw was $2.92.

I had heard on the radio that Colorado has the cheapest prices.

We are up to $3.85....COUGH!

Wow! It's $3.99 for diesel here. I think I remember reading on the sign coming home this afternoon that it is $3.70 for regular.

The price for unleaded hit $4.15 today.

Wow, you're usually higher up there than we are. We hit $4.15 yesterday and my hubby said he saw $4.19 this morning. UNbelieveable.

Ours is about $1.50 per litre, which equates to about $5.67 per gallon...

“Only $1.30 a gallon for gas? I couldn’t believe my eyes,” said the American tourist at Vancouver’s Granville Island Market the other day.

“Then I found out the truth… and I gagged!”

Think gas prices are high in the U.S. right now? Come to Canada, where prices may LOOK a lot cheaper on gas-station signs — 1.30 — but are in reality much higher, and have been for years. Doing the math to convert prices is complicated.

The Toronto Globe & Mail reports that gas (occasionally called petrol here) recently hit 1.40 — gas is measured in litres in this metri-cized country — at a Vancouver station in suburban Richmond. Get out your calculator and that comes out to about $5.60 a U.S. gallon. Not cheap.

Plus, the Canadian dollar (loonie) is at an eight-year high right now — it’s worth more than a U.S. dollar — so that makes Canadian gas even more expensive now.
