| NICE ARTICLE ON THE NET ON EASTER SUNDAY
When we think of angels, we usually conjure up visions of winged, white robed humanoids with 100 watt halos hovering over their heads, flitting to and fro on errands for The Big Boss Upstairs. Then Michael Landon, Della Reese and Roma Downey came along, and the TV taught us that angels look like ordinary people and don't need robes, wings and halos to carry out their missions. And the reality, folks, is that angels are everywhere, and I meet them every day. And they don't have to perform miracles to lift my spirits. A friendly “howzit going?” and a smile from one of these earth bound agents of God lifts me out of whatever doldrums I've settled into, and helps me realize there's more promise to the day than I'd assumed there to be. As a result of these upbeat encounters, I no longer consider angels to be supernatural entities, but flesh-and-blood creatures like the rest of us. In fact (dare I be so bold as to admit it ), I too, am an angel. Well, why not? I don't have to lay claim to Divinity to be a decent human being, and in the course of my day, despite some backsliding from time to time, I strive to always do the right thing. And lest I be accused of placing myself in the exclusive company of the spiritually elite, I will hasten to add that, hey, you are probably an angel, too. (Even some of you cynics, who are laughing up your sleeve at these preposterous suggestions). So I'm an angel, and you're an angel. Let's all get out and act like one.

| I believe in angels but they are not necessarily with wings or halos either. The bible describes angels as heavenly beings who are in heaven to praise and worship God. They are not reincarnated human beings who have travelled there from here after death. So many people say that a person is their guardian angel and is looking out after then since they have died. This is not a biblical idea, so I don't believe it. Angels have not been redeemed by the blood of Christ. We on earth who have been saved through faith have something better than the angels do. They were just created to live in heaven, WE who believe will INHEIRIT heaven. So, when people say that those who are dead have become angels, I shake my head and know that there is something better in store for me than being an angel.
Sorry, but you asked. | |

Sorry, but you asked. No reason to be sorry. The simple point of the article is that if we all acted like angels on a daily basis by being kind to other people, the world would simply be a better place. And that is true.....

| Aw, that is a really neat article, Dave---heartwarming! And yes, SO true. And Marilyn, in the more literal sense, I do completely agree with you. Very well said. | |

Sorry, but you asked. I believe you, Marylin. Angels & Human Beings are two different things. I will read somewhere's people will being saying: My daughter or son is angel. They passed away, when they were babies. They are my guardian angel.s I will just shake my head. Yes, I do believe in Angels. Here's a true story about me, when I was little. My parents, my older sister & I, were at church or might be some other place. (not sure.) My dad pulled in the parking lot. We got all got out of the car. Well, I was the last one, getting out of the car. Bu that time, By this time, my dad already lock the doors automatically from the inside. I slam the door shut on my finger. (Yes, very painful. Not sure, which finger.) I was screaming my head off. My parents & my older sister, were going into church. heard me screaming. Well, the car was distance from the church. (Mind you, this was the 80's. They Didn't have cordless key unlock your car with button. You have used the key, to unlock the car, to unlock the back door.) Well, anyways, a man comes by. (My Guardian Angel from heaven.) Opens the door. I free my hand. My parents rush by. Thank the man. The man took off. Was never seen again. My mom told me this story. Cause, I was between 4-6 years old. Theirs no way, anyone will open the back door. Unless, they unlock the driver side or the passenger side. The doors were already lock after you hit the lock button from inside & closed the doors. My parents rush me to the hospital. To see, if their were any broken finger. It was just swollen. My mom will ice my finger. Then, a few days later, I was fine.

| I believe in angels and I know many in different forms help people everyday.
I also think "random acts of kindness" make everyone an angel in another way. I also have been my wits end, sad, depressed, etc, and a kind woman or gentleman or even child have brightened my day. I recall kind words from strangers just when I needed it and try (although sometimes I forget) to do the same thing...just don't think "that's a nice shirt" tell the person, smile, be extra nice to the harried new waitress, so many things you can do.
Little things do matter.
