KEVIN, DABBS AND MICHAEL

I saw Kevin Hagen in a Rifleman episode last night, and boy did he play a degenerate!
Talk about blowing your image of Doc Baker!
A week earlier, there was Dabbs Greer, playing a drunk!
He was no Reverend Alden in that one!
And two weeks earlier, Michael Landon was in Jail!

Three very versatile actors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's great, David! I've never seen those episodes, and now I want desperately to!

As for Dabbs Greer...Boy! I would bever have recognize him in any way uf you didn't say it is really Dabbs!

Thanks for posting those, yes sometimes you forget they didn't just live on the Simi Valley site.
I've caught some in bit parts, not large, good character actors are sometimes invisible in a sense, they make an impact but you never really catch who they are.

Sometimes I'll see Reverends playing the same part again and Dabbs also played one on Brady Bunch, from a site:
Fans of another 70's TV show may recognize the minister who marries Mike and Carol: that's actor Dabbs Greer, who played the Reverend Alden for ten seasons on "Little House on the Prairie". 21 years after this episode Mr Greer would return to play the same part as the minister who marries Bobby to his college sweetheart in the pilot episode of the 1990 reunion show The Bradys.

I don't remember that show, but he played Reverend's in others...a little typecast. : )

Yes. Dabbs played a Reverend more than once...But I think he had "the Reverend type". As the French would said "physique du rôle"...
