I JUST WON BON JOVI TICKETS!!!

I won Bon Jovi tickets from the radio! They will be playing here in Miami 3/2/13. I'm so excited! I've never won anything before so I'm stoked! WHOO HOO! Now my only dilemma is WHO to give the other ticket to...

Jules, what kind of contest was it? Like, "If you're the ninth caller..."? Or did you have to answer a question?

I was the 9th caller! I wasn't expecting to win...I just called for the fun of it and expected a busy signal. I ended up calling twice...the first time, it just rang & rang, until finally I got disconnected. All this while Bon Jovi's "Bad Medicine" is playing on the radio. Then I called again...thinking I would either get the busy signal this time; or that someone may have won. All of a sudden...the DJ answered the phone....and that was it!

What's amazing is the tickets go on sale for the public next week...and I have so many pending bills right now, I had no idea how I would get tickets, or if I'd even be able to go! I figured if the show didn't sell out right away, I would have to buy the tickets at a later date....then have 'nosebleed' seats. I've seen BJ in concert before, but the last time was about 12 years ago...but I always...ALWAYS...have nosebleed seats when I see them. Now, not only did I win the tickets...but I think...if I'm correct...when one wins tickets through the radio station, they are usually good seats (but I could be wrong!). This is amazing! Talk about an early Christmas present!

Yes, they know now! LOL My close friend who I've known for years (since junior high, or is it middle school now?) is coming with me. I have a bit of a dilemma because my mom wanted to come with me...but she's not really a big Bon Jovi fan (she likes them, but not enough to actually see them in concert). Actually, a lot of people want to come with me now. Too bad it's only 2 tickets. I would love to give one to everybody! Sigh...

Since your Mom's not a huge fan, I'm sure she'll understand. Did you tell her yet?

I agree with Rob. I'm sure she'll understand, since she isn't a huge fan. Maybe you can plan a special night with her on another night. It doesn't have to be budget-breaking...just spending a little special "Mom only" time with her.

Julie, that is so awesome!!!! I love Bon Jovi too----my sister went a few years ago with a friend and said he puts on an incredible show. Definitely bring a friend who will appreciate it---your mom will certainly understand!

I saw Bon Jovi up here in Minneapolis 2 years ago and it was one of the best concerts I've ever seen. They've always been my favorite band of all-time, though. They played a nice mix of old and new songs.

Sorry guys, just saw the rest of these comments now! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to go. My friend backed out at the very last minute (same day) because she got a bad cold. It was too late to get anyone to go with me (and I didn't want to go by myself). Mom was then going to come with me, but she ended up not feeling well anyway, and she wanted to go with me for my sake, so I wouldn't miss out. I couldn't do that to her...so I decided to stay home. It's okay though. The tickets, even though were won from a radio station, ended up being nosebleed seats anyway, and I've seen them before, so I'm not too bummed. I couldn't leave Mom like that anyway! It wasn't meant to be.

On the bright side, I get to see Hall & Oates tomorrow night with Mom and a couple of our friends at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, FL! I just posted a video of theirs over on the Music "songs you like" section. I'm pretty excited, as I've never seen them in concert before! They're playing for 2 nights, tonight and tomorrow, and we're going to tomorrow's show. I'm sure it'll be a fun night...I'll let you all know how that show is!
