Trash? Empty
PostSubject: Trash?   Trash? EmptyMon Jan 07, 2013 10:19 am

I know this seems like a dumb question, but what did they do with the trash they had back then? I was thinking of it taking my own out today. I know food garbage could be compost in some ways (at least when it wasn't winter) but if you had worn out shoes, broken glass, old pans and machinery...did they burn them or was it such a wide open country, it really didn't matter.
Once on the show, something broke and you saw them sweep, but you never did see what they did with it. : )

"Albert, do you REALLY think you are old enough to know what love is?"
"I must be Pa. I love you, I have for a long time."

Cool book. I can not imagine there being dead anything in the streets of towns. We just didnt see that on tv....even in Sleepy Eye! lol
I MIGHT hug my trash man today.

It is the lack of Christianity that has  brought us where we are. Not a lack of churches or religious forms but of the real thing in our hearts.  LIW.....Words From a Fearless Heart

Very interesting...made me want to use liquid sanitizer after reading it though. LoL.
I am glad you didn't see too much of that reality but I knew after years of watching LHOP, certain things were never shown and garbage of disposing of garbage was one of them.

I'm surprised more creeks, etc. weren't made filthy by dumping and rats didn't infest more grain and food products.

Yes, I might not kiss my sanitation person but I am very thankful they exist and recycling.
