Otherwise, I'm generally too interested in my food eat

It doesn't bother me at all who's watching me when I'm eating. When I get my food, I just want to eat it. LOL If someone's staring at me, I also give them a wave, not as dramatic as Savannah's but just a little wave. grinsmiley

Not so much around strangers, but around people I know - I worry about getting food stuck in my teeth. LOL!

You know, I had a time when I just didn't eat in public. I only ate with my family. Whenever I was at an event where people ate I just didn't eat anything...
By now I don't care at all if anybody watches me while I#m eating. I even forgot that it was different till I looked into this thread and it reminded me...weird

I don't think I have ever really cared. If I am hungry and need to eat, you can continue enjoying your meal, or you can enjoy staring at me enjoying my meal.

People can finds all kinds of things to stare at you about and I remember when I was growing up, my oldest sister was retarded (they call it mentally challenged now) and people would stare at her, and we started staring back at them to let them know how it felt. Then when I was going through my cancer and was bald as a cue ball, people would stare at me; although I had a bandana and cap on. I didn't mind the children staring, because they do not know any better, but when you have adults staring at you; and I am not talking about a long "oh wow, they must be sick" glance, but a long, drawn out stare that pierces right through you, it can be pretty ittitating. One time, we were in a store and my boys had gotten angry with people staring at me and one of them said, "She's got cancer, what's your problem?" You should've seen those people drop their head, tuck their tails and run......After that, I wanted to buy a ballcap with that sewn on it........

Doesn't bother me since I deal so much with the public right now and people will stare at me while I taking care of their orders. Rhonda, when I see a person who you can obviously tell is dealing with cancer, I never stare so long as to be rude....people can be such jerks!!

In Public if some just stares at me while i eat i would like wave or i knew they would hear me i would say That Person up younder stares like Carzy or if was just like My Sister in Law or Brother in Law i would just say something mean lol

Most of the time it doesn't bother me to eat in front of people. But I do tend to avoid eating messy things in public, like corn on the cob.
