EEK! So. . . .this is the road that I would usually be taking this evening...(Amy, this is the road we took to go to Main street.):

Local flooding 44796_602949719735186_1819602420_n

They've evacuated the southern area of north Ionia - and it's looking like the river is going to crest so high that it's going to engulf the one bridge that we have that allows access between the north and south sections of Ionia. (It's divided by a river.) The other bridge is down right now, having repairs done on it.

Then, we have a LOT of roads that are closed due to flooding, or washouts...Here are a few pics:

YIKES! It isn't expected to get here to my house, but they're evacuating people two blocks away. Thank the Lord, the rain has stopped at least for now!

Whoa! I have never seen flooding like that and hope not to.

Lisa, I hope you, Amy and Rhonda are safe.

Spring is finally here, the lovely pink blooms on the "spray" tree outside my window are gone leaving a beautiful willow.

Local flooding 279394 That's quite near the section of road that I'd mentioned to you in PM - the one I'd been worried about driving through. When I went there, though, the water had receded, thankfully!

Local flooding 410460 Thank you, Alice & Krissy! I should be safe where I live - and I'm being very careful where I drive. The roads have given way in MANY areas of town. Some of "my" kids from church, though, live in the area that has been evacuated, and I worry about them. I hope the flooding recedes soon...Even so, the recovery is going to take quite some time. I've never seen so many roads so badly damaged! Thank you again for your concern! Local flooding 6472

Hopefully it won't flood. Must still be pretty cold where you are Jacob.

We don't have problems with flooding where I am, but when it rains a lot our backyard looks more like a wading pool.
