Horrific tragedy at our local zoo.

Words cannot explain how sad I feel about this adorable little boy. This is the first visitor death here. An elephant handler was killed by an elephant years ago. I feel bad for the family. But what was she thinking!?

I also feel bad for the zoo workers. And also all those that were there that day.

Poor sweet baby. How awful....I know this mother did something stupid, but it's unimagineable what she is going to have to live with. This woman is going to have to live not only with the loss of her son, but with the image of his death. I don't know how anyone gets through that. I'll be praying for her.

Both parents were on meds to help them deal with the tragedy. He was laid to rest on Friday. Instead of flowers the family asked to donate toy trucks because he loved playing with them.
