Prayers for Family Members

I would like to ask for prayer for Aunt Virginia. She is my mother-in-law's older sister and only sibling. At the age of 82 she has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She is opting not to have chemo, but instead the doctors will help manage her symptoms. In addition, my father-in-law (Harry) has recently been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and my mother-in-law (Kay) is coping with extreme pain from arthritis in her spine.

Quick update. Aunt Virginia was brought to the hospital Tuesday night in extreme pain. She's been under heavy sedation. Just got a call from my mother-in-law and Virginia isn't doing well at all. As it was, if she improved and was able to go home, they would be bringing hospice in. Prayers would be appreciated.

My mother-in-law continues to struggle with her arthritis. Some days are okay, but most days are filled with pain. My father-in-law seems to be doing better. It's getting harder to understand him when he talks, but overall he looks better than before he started his medication.

I am sorry to hear that your family members are ill. I will keep you and them in my thoughts.

Cheryl, your family will continue to be in my prayers.

I would also like to add my son and daughter-in-law to this list. She's been out of work for probably almost a year now. Nicole was laid off, but then began having medical issues (kidney stones) that have required surgery. She's due to have another procedure next week, followed by another surgery. I don't see her going back to work any time soon, and it's put stress on my son, John. He's had to pick up a lot of extra hours to make ends meet. Well, last Friday, he fell asleep at the wheel. Thankfully it's only his car that got crunched. It's drivable, but he needs to get it repaired and didn't need the added expense. He also told me the hours at work haven't been as great as they were because a major customer of theirs isn't giving them orders right now.
