| So, I decide to make Christmas presents for my four nieces. The two older nieces, I'll be making a necklaces for them. (Their favorite colors.) 3rd niece. Probably make a puzzle for her. (At my work, I seen people making puzzles from wood.) My 4th niece she's 1. I'm trying to think, what to make her. I just start learning how to sew. Maybe a baby hat or sweater? Maybe a handmade toy? You see, I usually or my parents buy their Christmas presents for them. I thought this year, will be handmade by me. Then, theirs my parents, my older sister, & older brother-in-law. But making 7 different things in less than 3 months. Will be a hassle. So, be just my 4 nieces will be getting the handmade Christmas presents. This is will be a surprise for them. (If, I can make all 4 of the stuff before Christmas.) I better start soon. So, if you have any idea what I can make 1 year old. Let me know. | |

| Thats a wonderful Idea Melissa. I am sure they will love them You could make a Little doll for you youngest niece. Maybe an amish doll that way she wouldn't be able to chew off the eyes and swallow them | |

| Oh, that's a lovely idea, Melissa! I like Jacob's idea of a doll. That would be really nice. Or a teddy bear! You can make it out of any soft material - even something like polar fleece. And you can find lots of patterns for free online. Here's a site that offers a free pattern and tutorial!:

With it being for a very young child, I would sew little circles of black felt on for the eyes, or embroider them, or even draw them in, so that there's no risk of her pulling off the eyes and choking on them.

| How nice. I used to do that, too. I would still do it if I had the time. I'm sure they will enjoy your gifts. | |

| I'm not sure about what gift you could make for a younger child, but I think it's great that you're making gifts this year! I used to make all of the Christmas gifts that I gave, and I still do make some of them. I'm sure your nieces will love their presents | |
